LOCKPORT - The operator of a Town of Pendleton restaurant, Albert C. Brauer, 59, of 99 Church St., died today (Dec.10, 1965) at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. The fire department first aid squad was summoned to the Brauer home at 6:18 a.m. today but reported Mr. Brauer was dead when they arrived. Born March 15, 1906, in Pendleton, the son of Herman and Louise Krull Brauer, he had operated operated Brauer's Restaurant, Campbell Boulevard, Pendleton, for more than 25 years. LOUISVILLE, KY — Dorothy (Wilkins) Wolter, 89, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011. She was born October 22, 1921 in Wilson, NY to Willis and Helen Wilkins. She married Paul E. Wolter on June 22, 1946. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Medina, until 2004, when she moved to Louisville, KY to live with her children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Wolter. She is survived by a son, Peter Wolter (Karen); and two daughters, Deborah Wolter and Susan Wolter of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She attended nursing school and became an RN; she then joined the Army Reserves and held the rank of lieutenant. After serving her country, she went on to earn her bachelor's then master's degrees. She raised one son, Geoffrey. Janet had many interests such as biking, gardening, traveling, volunteering, sightseeing and lunches with old and new friends. Janet was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Richard Brauer. She is survived by her son, Geoffrey and his wife, Pamela; her grandson, Blake and his wife, Carli. A small Service will be held at the Mount Olivet Cemetery Resurrection Mausoleum Chapel on October 20th at 12:00 PM.

GASPORT — June E. McQueen, of Gasport, NY, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 4, 1928 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Harold and Alma Henning Volschow. She lived most of her adult life in Gasport where she worked for many years as manager of Gasport Elementary School cafeteria, and was known as the "cafeteria lady". June was a faithful and active member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was always willing to give a helping hand.

June was predeceased by her husband, Donald H. McQueen in April of 1975 and her sister, Virginia Heuck. She is survived by her children, Candace (David) Carlston, Cassandra (Peter) Cramer and Timothy McQueen; her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren; many family members and wonderful friends.

There will be no prior visitation. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 11:00 AM from Christ Episcopal Church, 7145 Fieldcrest Dr., Lockport, NY. Interment in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Ave., PO Box 381, Gasport, NY 14067. The family would like to thank the caring and loving people of Niagara Hospice for their help at this difficult time.
