    Stella (Jesson) Aker, 97 of Lockport entered into rest on January 4, 2022. Born on September 21, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Floyd V. and Minnie (Malcom) Jesson. Stella graduated from Barker Central School in 1943 and married W. Raymond Aker on June 28, 1947. She was a foster mother for Niagara County for 20 years, an active member of the Lockport Wesleyan Church, heading the nursery department for many years and a member of the Dale Association and attended the Memory Minders program.Stella is survived by her children, Nancy (William) Goodin, Raedel (Alan) Silverman, Mary Lou Sharp, Carol (Paul) Finney, Gary (Carolyn) Eisnor, Jeffery (Fran) Gibbons; brother, John (Nancy Ann) Jesson; many grand and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Stella was predeceased by husband Raymond Aker, siblings: Marjorie (William) Wolfe, Lucy (Walter) Heatherly, Floyd R (Esther) Jesson, and Grace (Clarence) Seeloff.The family will announce a date for a Memorial service later this year.

    Obituary of John R. Jesson
    John R Jesson passed away peacefully in his home, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Born on June 12, 1929, in Appleton, NY, John was the son of the late Floyd and Minnie Jesson. John married the love of his life, Nancyann Squire, on March 29, 1952, and celebrated 61 years of marriage before her passing in July of 2013. John worked for Sheridan Oil, and Empire Cement, before he retired to start his favorite career as the manager of Akron Airport Jesson Field, owned and operated by Christian Airmen Inc.John enjoyed travelling all over the United States and Canada, whether by car, motorcycle, or by piloting his own plane to visit family and friends, or tour the country, taking a new route every time he hit the road. He loved playing cards, meeting new friends, and talking about his wife and family.John is survived by nine children: Andrew (Wendelyn) Jesson of CA, Rebecca (Paul) Helwig of OH, Cheryl (Craig) Patterson of FL, Sue (late Barry) Meadows of Lockport, Ruth (Frank) Cleere of North Chili, NY, Jule (Jeff) Dieter of Greece, NY, Juanita (Paul) Burke of TN, Timothy (Stephanie) Jesson of NM and John (Miyung) Jesson of TX, and more than 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.Friends may call on Tuesday, May 3rd from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport. Funeral services will be held at Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Road, Lockport on Wednesday, May 4th at 10:00 AM. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Airmen, Inc., or The Great Commission fund of The CMA Church. The family of John Jesson wishes to thank Hospice of Chattanooga, TN.     Grace V. Seeloff, of Barker, wife of the late Clarence Seeloff, entered into rest on Monday, November 17, 2014 in Lockport, NY. Grace was born on October 20, 1919 in the Town of Somerset, NY, daughter of the late Floyd and Minnie Jesson.

    Grace enjoyed playing bingo, cards, cribbage, puzzle books and loved bird watching and fishing. Mother of; Eugene (Linda) Seeloff of Tucson, AZ, James (Nancy) Seeloff of Springfield, MO, Barbara Snell of Barker, NY and Philip (Sharon) Seeloff of Chandler, AZ. Sister of; Stella Aker of Lockport, NY, John Jesson of Akron, NY and the late Marjorie Wolfe, Floyd Jesson, Lucy Heatherly and sister in law Nancy Ann Jesson. Grace is survived by her 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

    Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY 14108 on THURSDAY from 2-7PM where funeral services will be held on FRIDAY at 11AM. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
