    John J. Kochanski, 59, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on March 18, 1957 he was the son of the late Alexander T. Kochanski and Rose P. (Kudela) Kochanski. 
    John attended St. Stanislaus Kostka Parochial school, Bishop Duffy High School and graduated from Canisius College with a bachelor's degree. John enjoyed reading and computer research, so he could always be up to date on the happenings around the world. John will be remembered for always greeting everyone with a smile and a warm heart. 
    Besides his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Susan (Scott B.) Hughes, Annette (Brian) Bennert and Bridget (Dr. Jeffrey) Kolano; nieces and nephews, Nathan A. Bennert, Matthew B. Bennert, Julia A. Bennert, Jessica Kolano, Alison Kolano, Michael Kolano, Kati Erickson and Stefanie Kochanski. He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother, David Kochanski. 
    Friends may call Tuesday, March 7th from 4-7 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 8th at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. 
    In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Niagara Catholic Junior/Senior High School, 520 66th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
