    Brenton Bailey quietly celebrated
    his 83d birthday February 12th at his
    home in Collinsville. Mrs. Bailey Is
    improving from her recent Illness.

    Brenton Bailey, 87, well, known resident
    of Colllnsville, died at his;
    home Friday afternoon, following
    many years of 111 health. Mr. Bailey
    was born near Turin In February, 18-
    47 .the son of Mr. and Mrs. John
    Bailey. In September, 1870, he was united
    in marriage with Miss Virginia
    Brenon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Amie Brenon, of Turin. Mr. and Mrs.
    Bailey celebrated' their 63rd wedding
    anniversary last autumn. For many
    years Mr. and Mrs. Bailey were residents
    of the Tug Hill section near
    Turin, but for the past several years
    had lived in Colllnsville. Mr. Bailey
    had always engaged in farming until
    ill health forced him to retire. He was
    a member of St John's" church of
    Lyons Falls. Surviving are his widow
    and one son, Marion Bailey, wel
    known veterinarian, who has always
    resided with his parents. There is also
    one nephew, Arllss Hllllgas, of
    Turin, A twin daughter, Mrs. Minnie
    Bailey Salmons, died many years ago.
    The funeral services were held from
    St John's church at 10; 30 Monday
    morning, Rev. F. P. Diviney officiating.
    Mrs. Irene Stevens, of Port Leyden,
    sang. Burial was made in St.
    Mary's cemetery. Constableville. The
    bearers were nephews of Mrs. Bailey,
    viz: George Mauer, West , Leyden;
    Amie and Fred Hoffman, of Mohawk,
    Hill; and John Mahoney, of Maple
    Ridge. Relatives from a distance to
    attend were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles
    Decks, New Hartford; Mr. and Mrs.
    Jerry Potter, Watertown; Mr. and
    Mrs. Frank Bourgeolse, Johnstown,
    Ohio, Mrs. Arthur Kilts Ava, Mrs. Rudolph
    Schwenk, Taberg; Mr. and Mrs.
    Floyd Draper, Boonville.

    Brenton married BRENNON, Virginia on 6 Sep 1870 in Lowville, Lewis County, NY. Virginia (daughter of BRENNON, Amie and MANIGOLD, Rosalie) was born on 1 Sep 1848 in New York; died on 10 Oct 1935 in Collinsville, Lewis County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
