    Bonita Jeanne (Wallace) Shanesey of Niagara Falls, died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Schoellkopf Health Care Center. She was 89. She was born in Niagara Falls on December 24, 1925, the daughter of Clarence and Aileene (Crafts) Wallace.

    In earlier years, she worked for the former Spirella Corset Company and for 30 years she worked for the Niagara Gazette in the classified advertising department. She retired from full time employment in 1986 but continued part time for several years.

    She had a love for life and socializing. She enjoyed her visits to area coffee shops, the casino, her lottery tickets and watching game shows.
    Mrs. Shanesey was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, John W. Shanesey, Jr.
    She is survived by her sister, Bernice Irwin of Sparks, NV; nieces and nephews, Tim and Jan Irwin; Patrick and Mel Irwin and Gregory and Tricia Irwin; her dear friends, Ginny Stepien; Cynthia and Mark Cramer and Dr. Robert Mahood. Also survived by several great nieces and nephews.

    There will be no prior visitation. Private services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Memorial Park Cemetery. The LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., is handling the funeral arrangements.
