Donald Ruscoe. 42, of 88 Owasco
St.. a schoolteacher, died this
morning in Auburn Memorial Hospital
of a gunshot wound, police
report.
Dr. Norman L. Woodford, ruled
the death a suicide. Police said
Mr Ruscoe shot himself in the
head with a rifle at his home. He
was admitted to Auburn Memorial
Hospital at 6:32 a.m. and, died at
7:50 a.m.
A graduate of West Hi«h School
and Syracuse University, Mr. Ruscoe
was a sixth grade teacher at
Seymour St. School. He had previously
taught at Owasco Elementary
School.
Mr. Ruscoe was a World War II
veteran and a communicant of St.
Peter's Episcopal Church.
Surviving are his widow. Mrs.
Vernice Brewster Ruscoe; his
father, Bert Ruscoe: two sisters.
Mrs. J. Winfred Crosby of Niles
and Mrs. Harmon Chatheld of
Weedsport, and several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednes-
day at 9 a.m. at the Langham Fu-
neral Home, Rev. James Er. Mahagan,
rector of St. Peter's Episcopal
Church, officiating. Cremation will
follow. There will be no calling
hours.
