    LOCKPORT, March 4 -r The
    funeral of Warren C. Briggs, 71.
    Mapleton road farmer. Town of
    Pendleton, will be held tomorrow
    at 2:30 p.m. at the Gaul Funeral
    home, 263 East avenue. Burial will
    be made in Cold Springs cemetery.
    A lifelong resident of Pendleton. Mr.
    Briggs died Saturday night at the
    Burke Nursing home in East avenue.
    He is survived by a son, John
    R. Briggs, Pendleton

    GENEVA - John R. Briggs, 73, of 53
    Norwood St., died yesterday at Geneva
    General Hospital.
    There will be no prior calling hours.
    A private service will be at the
    convenience of the family at the Gaul
    Funeral Home Inc., 263 East Ave.,
    Lockport, NY. A private graveside
    service will be at Cold Spring
    Cemetery, Lockport.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial con
    tributlons may be made to Geneva
    General Hospital Development Fund.
    Mr. Briggs was born in Mapleton,
    son of Warren and Alice Brown Briggs.
    He was self employed. He was a
    veteran of World War I I . He was a
    charter member of the Iroquois Arms
    Collectors of Western New York. He
    was a life member of the National
    Muzzle-loading Rifle Association and a
    member of the National Rifle
    Association. He was a member of the
    Regional Pioneer Gas Engine
    Association.
    Surviving are his wife, Hazel C.
    Briggs; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Polly
    Spedding of Kashong; two stepsons,
    Kevin Conwick of Denver, Colo., and
    Joel Conwicke of San Diego, Calif. ;
    and seven grandchildren.

    John married BARBER, Hazel Marie on 9 Jul 1964 in Geneva, Ontario County, NY. Hazel (daughter of BARBER, Alfred D and MILLER, Blanche E) was born about 1909 in New York; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
