    PORT LEYDEN - Funeral
    services for Mrs. Fred Leland who
    died Saturday, were held Tuesday
    afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Field
    Funeral Home.
    The Rev. George Buhl, pastor
    of the F i r s t Congregational
    Church officiated.
    Bearers were Guy and Fred
    Rocker, Traverson and Lawrence
    Brinkerhoff, Ralph Bush and
    Percy Scouten. Burial was in Port
    Leyden Cemetery.
    Rebecca Rocker was born Sept.
    30, 1876. in Port Leyden, the
    daughter of William and Susan
    Briggs Rocker,
    She was married to Fred Leland
    Jan, 1, 1894 at Port Leyden. He
    died 25 years ago.
    Mrs. Leland is survived by a
    daughter, Mrs. Wlllard Bourgeois,
    Boonvllle; two granddaughters,
    Mrs. Ralph Bush, Croghan, and
    Miss Joan Leland. Boonvllle. Also
    two sisters, Mrs. Marlon La Vert,
    Port Leyden, and Mrs. Floyd
    Brinkerhoff, Utica.
    A son, Glen, died last year.

    PORT LEYDEN - Erie Racker,
    66, passed away at his home in
    French Settlement, Friday morning
    at 4:20. He has been in poor
    health for seven years.
    He was bom Dec. 18, 1881, a
    son of William and Susan Briggs
    Racker at Lyonsdale. On Nov. 11,
    1938, he married Mrs. Florence
    Meeker Baker. The Rev. Frank
    Jones officiated.
    Besides his wife, he is survived
    by three sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Leland,
    Mrs. Joseph LaVert, and
    Mrs. Floyd Brinkerhof, all of Port
    Leyden, and several nieces and
    nephews.

    Olive Rocker Blinn, 56, French
    Settlement, died Wednesday night
    at the home of her niece, Mrs.
    Willard Bourgeois. Boonville.
    She was a daughter of the late
    William and Susan Briggs Rocker
    and was born in LyonsdaJe, March
    8.1886. She was married to Claude
    Blinn in 1902. Mrs. Blinn attended
    the New Covenant Church.
    Besides her husband, she leaves
    a son, Daniel. Port Leyden; three
    sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Leland, Port
    Leyden; Mrs. Joseph Green, Hion;
    and Mrs. Claude Brinkerhoff, Utica;
    and a brother, Eri Rocker,
    Port Leyden.

    Scouten, widow of Howard
    Scouten, died at her home here
    early this morning after a few
    days illness. She had been in poor
    health for several^years.
    She was born in Lyonsdale, Oct.
    3, 1888, a daughter of the late
    William and Susan Briggs Rocker.
    Her marriage to Mr. Scouten took
    place Dec. 24, 1904,. with the-Rev.
    Charles De Voll officiating.
    Surviving are two sons, Wesley
    and Percy Scouten, and several
    grandchildren, all of Port Leyden;
    Mrs. Floyd Brinkerhoff and
    Mrs. Marian Green, Utica.

    Susan Briggs Rocker. She was
    twice married. Her first marriage
    was to Lewis Brinckerhoff, and
    her second to Mr. LeVert who
    died April 9, 1946.
    Surviving are two sons, Trevison
    Brinckerhoff, Geneva, and Lawrence
    Brinckerhoff, Buffalo; five
    Sandchildren; and a sister, Mrs.
    anche Brinckerhoff, Rome. A
    daughter, Anna Mae Brinckerhoff
    died in 1920
