    Of the City of Tonawanda, passed away on May 11, 2022, at the age of 87. He was born November 3, 1934 in North Tonawanda, NY. Predeceased by wife Joan (Zellner) Britton. He is survived by his children: Susan (Michael) Ackerman, Sandra Housel, and Michael (Lucy) Britton; grandchildren: Ian (Jessica) Ackerman, Lindsey (Ivo) Rutz, Drew Ackerman, David (Collen) Nelson, Nathaniel (Anthon) Housel, Daniel (Megan) Housel, Jacob Britton, and Natalie Britton; great-grandchildren: Elijah and Silas Ackerman, and Charlotte Nelson; and siblings: Beverly (Gabriel) DiBernardo, Patricia Britton, and James (Carolyn) Britton. Chuck worked for JH Williams in Buffalo, NY and Kaiser Aluminum in Erie, PA. He was a member of the Tonawanda Republican Committee, Middlesex Conservation Club, and NYS Hunter Safety Training. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, baseball, and spending time with family. In accordance with his wishes there will be no public Funeral Services. Donations may be made in his memory to the Maplewood Nursing Home Staff Benefit Fund, 100 Daniel Drive, Webster, NY 14580. Arrangements entrusted to Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, Rochester, NY.
