    Susanne M. LeGasse
    Of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at her home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice.  She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 27, 1932, a daughter of the late Emmett and Beatrice T. [Fennell] Greene.
    Susanne graduated from St. Mary's High School, Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and Niagara University.  She was a Registered Nurse and started her career at Fort Niagara, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, DeVeaux Manor, Mt. St. Mary's Hospital and with Summit Pediatrics for over 30 years, before retiring in 2007.
    Susanne was a member of the St. Teresa's Mothers Club, Madonna and Duffy Mothers Club, St. Bernard's Altar and Rosary Society, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and a founder of the West Point Parents Association in 1975.
    She dedicated her life to her children and family, focusing on her patients and those in the community.
    Susanne was the wife of the late Joseph L. LeGasse, Sr., who passed away on May 30,  2016.
    She was the mother of Joseph, Jr., Francis (Lynne), Anne (Frank Rotundo), James, Patricia,  Eileen LeGasse and Colleen (Michael) Palmeri, sister of Robert  (Charlotte), John  (Marilyn),  Michael  (Bruce Fitting) Greene, Kathleen (late Henry) Florence, Mary Agnes (Robert) Justiana and Cecelia ( late Edward) Evert, also survived by fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews.
    We will miss her dearly, may she rest in peace.
    Her family will be present on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.
    Everyone is invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 AM  at St. Raphael  Parish, 3831 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating.
    Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice.
    Entombment in  Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.

    Obituary of Dennis Greene, Jr. Dennis M. Greene, Building Contractor and Farmer, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at home. Dennis, 83, lived on a farm on Creek Road.Mr. Greene was a native of Niagara Falls, attended Trott Vocational High School and Niagara University and has resided in Youngstown since 1960. He served the local community as Mayor of Youngstown, a Village Trustee, president of the Youngstown Water Ski Club, and Youngstown Free Library, a member of the Town of Porter Historical Society Fort Niagara Association and Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company, and as an extraordinary minister for St. Bernard's R.C. Church.Dennis entered the Plumber's Union Local 129 in 1948 until inducted in the US Army where he served in Korea in 1952-53, earning 3 bronze stars before being discharged as a Sergeant First Class. He returned and became a contractor and vice president for Laur and Mack Contracting until his retirement in 1996.Dennis remained active upon retirement on the farm, and served as a delegate for the American Shorthorn Association and travelled for the World Cattle Congress in Australia and Canada. He was a member of the Niagara Falls Rotary Club (Paul Harris Fellow), St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the Lewiston Choraleers. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen (Mack) of Youngstown; children Catherine (William Guffey) of Zurich, SUI, Dennis Alexander Greene (Patricia) of Medina, NY, William Greene (Laura) of Rochester, NY and Charles Greene (Nathalie) of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren Claire Guffey, Megan, Charles, Dawson and Emmett Greene; sisters Donna (Michael Spendio) of New Jersey, Marilyn ( James Mazza) of Grand Island, NY and brother Paul Greene (Jeanette) of Cambria, NY. Mr. Greene was predeceased by his parents Dennis J. Greene and Ina (Dawson) as well as siblings Catherine (John O'Brien) and Richard Greene.Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24, at 11:00 am in St. Bernard's RC Church, Hinman and Second Sts., Youngstown, with the Rev. Peter Calabrese officiating.     LEWISTON — Dennis "Bud" Cantlon, age 74, of Sanborn, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 1, 1938 to the late Daniel and Susan (Greene) Cantlon. He was employed at the former Hibbard Engineers for 17 years and then worked as a Design Draftsman at TAM Ceramics, in Niagara Falls, until his retirement. Bud was a former active member of Tri-Community Ambulance Service, Inc. and received their Life Membership Award. Hobbies included woodworking, gardening, doing home remodeling projects and enjoyed going for walks.

    Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sandy (Loree) Cantlon; four children, Debbie (Brian) Wilkesmore of Columbus, OH, Mindy (David) Straube of Houston, TX, Mike (Kim) Cantlon of Jacksonville, FL, and Scott (Leann) Cantlon of Arnold, MD; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (Ginny) Cantlon and Daniel (Claudia) Cantlon; and a sister, Judy Brennen.

    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A prayer service will follow the visitation at 8 PM, with the Rev. Michael Keicher officiating. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
