    14th Ward and a furnace op-

    of the National Carbon Co.,
    died Monday (Oct 24, 1960) at
    Memorial Hospital after an
    illness of five weeks.
    A native of Bybee,, Tenn.,
    Mr. Breeden came to this city
    20 years ago. He was employ-
    ed at the Republic Plant for
    the last 20 years.
    Surviving are his wife, the
    former Miss Christine Mess of
    this city, and two sons, Lenny
    David and James Kenneth
    Breeden, this city.
    Also surviving are two sisters,
    Mrs. Kent Bible, Bybee,
    Tenn., and Mrs. Ray Fox, Lake
    City, Tenn., and three brothers,
    Trent Breeden, this city;
    Kenneth Breeden, Bybee, and
    William Breedon, Oak Ridge,
    Tenn.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    at 2 p.m. Thursday at
    the Rhoney Funeral Home by
    Rev. Alfred F. Hartwigsen.
    Burial will be in Riverdale
    Cemetery.

    ROCKRIMMON, CO - James Kenneth Breeden, 65, of Rockrimmon, CO, passed away on August 4, 2014, as a result of a car accident on his way to work. He was born on September 1, 1948 in Niagara Falls, NY to L.D. Breeden and Christine Breeden Guard. He served as a grunt in the 3rd Battalion 5th Marines 1st marine division during the Vietnam War from 1967-70, fighting in the Tet Offensive.

    He married Sandra Messick Breeden of Ellicott City, MD on June 23, 1985. They celebrated 29 years of marriage this summer. Jim made a successful career in hospitality, working his way from bartending to hotel management, most recently working as the General Manager of the Marriott Hotel in Colorado Springs. He was a well-loved and celebrated manager, recognized by Marriott International for the Mustang award for his role in evacuating the hotel during the Waldo Canyon fire in 2012.

    He was active in the Colorado Springs community, serving as President of the Pikes Peak Lodging Association for six years and as treasurer of the Colorado Springs Visitors Bureau for four years. He often mentored local business owners and professionals in the community.

    Jim had many interests, including driving his Jeep, hiking, mountain biking, cooking, enjoying fine wines and great beers, telling amazing stories, and spending time with his wife and daughters. A regimented man, he read his Bible and worked out nearly every day.

    Jim is survived by his beloved wife and three children, Madeleine Einfalt, Marguerite Breeden and Mackenzie Breeden of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Lewis and Patricia Messick of Colorado Springs; his brother, Lenny Breeden of Niagara Falls, NY, and his son-in-law, Jesse Einfalt.

    A memorial service was held on Wednesday, August 13th, at 4:00 at the Colorado Springs Marriott.
