NORTH TONAWANDA, Aug. 25-
After an . investigation yesterday,
Coroner Henry C. Lapp Issued s certificate
of accidental death In the
case of Frank N. Brody, of 16 Cleveland
avenue, who lost his life when
he fen Into a shaving hopper at the
Tonawanda Island plant of the
Becker-Moore company earlier in
the day and suffocated.

Funeral services for Frank N.
Brody, 61, of 16 Cleveland avenue,
suffocated in a wood shaving
hopper at the Tonawanda Island
plant of the Becker-Moore company
yesterday morning, will be
held Tuesday at 8:30 a. m. from
the Mroczynski Funeral Home,
C52 Oliver street, and at 9 a. m.
from the St. Francis church on
Adam street The Rt. Rev. Msgr.
John A. Weismantel will officiate
and interment will be in Mt.
Olivet.
The three surviving sons, Francis,
Albert and John Brody, are in
the Armed Forces. Francis is in
the AAF in the Pacific, Albert is
serving with the Marines in the
same theater and John is with the
Marines in the United States.
Other survivors are a wife,
Katherine, and two daughters,
Mrs. Ann Berndt and Miss Eliza-
beth Brody, all of Tonawanda.

Notes:

John A. Brody, age 89, of Tonawanda, died Friday, September 23, 2016 at Hospice Buffalo after a long illness. Born in Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Frank and Katherine (nee Hubert) Brody and was a Marine Corps Veteran of WWII. John was employed at the General Motors Engine Plant in the Town of Tonawanda until retiring.

He was the husband of the late Mary Jean (Fix) Brody, who died April 1, 2014. He is survived by his sons and step-son.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, October 19, at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street, Tonawanda; the Rev. Michael Uebler officiating. Inurnment was cared for privately in the St. Francis Chapel Columbarium. If desired, memorials to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 73 Adam Street, Tonawanda, NY 14150, are preferred by the family.
