Funeral services were held Friday
morning at the Eugene J. Heil
Funeral Home and at St. Vincent's
Church, North Evans, for CS/3
Willard J. Browning, USN, 20, of
72 McKinley Dr., Derby, second
victim of a single-car crash on
Sweetland Rd., Derby, Oct. 22.
James S. Voyne, 26, of 114 S. Main
St., Angola, also died in the crash.
Browning died Tuesday, Oct. 25,
in Our Lady of Victory Hospital,
Lackawanna, where he was hospitalized
after the accident with
two brothers, Walter, 25, the
driver, and Joseph, 18. The auto,
which was being chased by a Town
of Evans police car, went out of
control and struck a tree.
In addition to two other brothers
Robert and F r e d e r i c k , CS/3
Browning is survived by his wife,
the former Maurice Eldridge; his
parents, Benjamin and Mary (hy)
Browning; two sisters Mrs. William
Geary and Mrs. Frederick
McGlinchey, and a grandmother,
Mrs. Anna Hy
