    Howard Bruning passed away April 8, 2019 in Niagara Hospice House.  Born October 17, 1951 in Medina, he was the son of Clayton and Gladys (Waterstreet) Bruning.  Howard served in the US Army from 1969-1971 during the Vietnam War, while in service he was the recipient of the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the Purple Heart.  He worked for Harrison Radiator starting in 1972 where he was a tool & die maker retiring in 2007.  He was a member of the Lockport Alliance Church and enjoyed studying God’s word, camping, sports, and especially loved spending time with his family.
    Howard is survived by his wife of 15 years, Nora (Bishop) Bruning; children Amanda (Bill) Pittman, Kristin (Jim Schaich) Jamieson, Aaron (Michelle), Eric Bruning, Denyel (Patrick Doty) Beiter, and Thomas (Grace Moser) Beiter; grandchildren Chelsey Jamieson, Andrew, Jacob Schaich, Kaitlin (Micah Leapaga), Hannah, Felicity Pittman, Alexis, Brett, Amber Bruning, Alana Bruning, and Benjamin Doty; siblings Donna (Mike Killion) Bruning and Roger Bruning; in-laws Matthew (Barbara) Bishop and Thomas Bishop; also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
    Relatives and friends may call Sunday, April 14th from 2-5 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A funeral service with MIlitary Honors will be held Monday, April 15th at 10 AM in the Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Rd., Lockport, NY 14094.  Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Niagara Hospice or to the church would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.

    Roger A. Bruning passed away March 3, 2024 in Orchard Manor.  Born July 7, 1964 on Medina he was the son of Clayton W. and Gladys M. (Waterstreet) Bruning.  Roger worked for Erie County Department of Social Services where he was a counselor.  He is survived by his children Zachary and Emma Bruning; and sister Donna (Michael) Killion.  Besides his parents Roger was also predeceased by his brother Howard Bruning.
    Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Hartland Central Cemetery.

    Obituary of Jennifer Korte
    Jennifer M. Korte passed away May 19, 2020 after a long battle with cancer under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Newfane on October 31, 1984 she is the daughter of Michael and Donna (Bruning) Killion. Jennifer earned her Associates degree in Nursing from Niagara County Community College and worked at Eastern Niagara Hospital for 17 years in various departments. She was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville, and enjoyed roller derby and being with her roller derby friends, fan of Disney, and dog rescuing (welsh corgi’s). Her biggest passion was spending time with her family especially her children.Besides her parents Jennifer is also survived by her loving husband Casey Korte; beloved children Avery and Declan; daughter-in-law of Susan (late Roger) Korte.Private services and interment will be held. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
