    Mr. Bruning died Dec. 24, 1921 and
    the two daughters have been dead
    several years.
    Mrs. Bruning bought a large, lot at
    West Shelby at the time of the death
    of her son, Paul, who passed away
    July 3rd, 1925

    he was the son of August
    and Rachael Gensow Bruning. He
    was a member of Trinity Lutheri

    Survivors Include his wife, the
    former Blanche Koch; a son, Norman
    of the Town of Shelby; a
    granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. Albert

    Norman P. Bruning, 88, of West Shelby, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Unity Health System in Rochester.
    Born June 5, 1932 in Medina, he was a son of the late Fred and Blanche (Koch) Bruning. Norm was a longtime farmer on his family farm in West Shelby, starting at an early age when his father became disabled. In addition to farming, he began driving truck for Lapp Express in Medina in 1956 until they closed in 1978. Norm then moved on, hauling double trailers for the U.S. Postal Service, and lastly for Whiting Door in Akron. When he was forced to retire after 44 years of driving due to a heart attack and subsequent heart surgery. Norm was a parishioner of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville. He also belonged to the Junior Wilson Sportsman’s Club and the Lincoln Post # 1483, V.F.W. in Medina.
    Beloved husband of the late Constance (Trow) Bruning, died 2009; loving father of Laurel Bruning, Lawrence (Valery) Bruning, Gina (Anthony) Scinta, N. Paul (Kristine) Bruning and James (Brittany) Bruning; seventeen grandchildren; brother of the late James Riemer; brother in-law to Colin (Sue) Trow and Lynne Riemer; and uncle to Christine Trow.
    Calling hours will be held on Thursday Feb. 4th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. *Masks and social distancing will be mandatory.
     His graveside committal service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Supportive Care of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY 14411 or to a charity of one’s choice.

    LOCKPORT. Feb. 22.-The funeral
    of Hubert Bruning. 27 years old, of
    the West Lake road, Olcott,, who was
    Injured fatally Saturday night when
    his automobile was hit by a Lockport-
    Olcott trolley car at Corwln crossing,
    six miles north of the city, will be held
    tomorrow afternoon at the home at
    2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Herman
    Meier, of Lockport. officiating. Interment
    will be at West Shelby.
    Bruning. who was employed at the
    Simonds Saw and Steel company plant
    In this city, was driving home on the
    Lockport-Oleott road at the time of
    the accident. An International Railway
    company trolley car. operated by
    Morris Butler, of 309 Church street.
    Lockport. was en route from Olcott
    to this city.
    The trolley hit the automobile and
    carried It about 25 feet, according to
    Sheriff Fred A. Blgalow. The automobile
    was wrecked and the trolley
    was crippled by the crash. Bruning
    died of head injuries en route to the
    City hospital here in an automobile
    of Leonard Case of Olcott. Dr. Frank
    T Carmer, coroner, of Newfane, is
    investigating and will hold an inquest
    the date of which has not been set.
    Bruning was born in the Town of
    Royalton where he lived mast of his
    life. He leaves his widow. Edith, three
    children, Margaret. Norma and Ruth,
    at home: his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
    Frank Bruning, of Wolcottsvllle: two
    brothers and one sister. Franklin
    Brunlng of Olcott. Alvin Bruning, of
    Wolcottsvllle, and Minnie Brunlng of
    Buffalo.

    Norman Lindke Succumbs to Long Illness
    Middleport - Norman W. Lindke, 19 Orchard St. Middleport, died yesterday at his home following a long illness. Mr. Lindke was born March 22, 1913 in the Town of Royalton, the son of Martin and Sophronia (Bruning) Lindke. He had been a farmer on the Ditch Road in Middleport for several years and has lived in the village for the past 15 years. He was also a construction worker for several years and was a member of Labor Union Local 91 and St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville. He was the husband of Viola M. Lindke, father of Karen Fullworth, Mrs. Marvin (Deborah) Frey and Mrs. Douglas (Bonnie) Burdick, all of Middleport, and the late Richard Norman Lindke and Viola Marie Lindke; he is also survived by eight grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Friends may call today 2-4, 7-9 at the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home Inc. 36 State St., and Saturday 1-2 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., with the Rev.     Ruth I. Rutland of Lockport, NY, formerly of Olcott Beach, NY, wife of the late Jerry Rutland, entered into rest Friday, December 5, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, NY.

    She was born in Olcott, NY, January 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Hubert and Edith Luks Bruning.

    Ruth was a graduate of Millard Fillmore School of Nursing, class of 1957. She was a Registered Nurse and worked for various facilities and retired from Planned Parenthood Health Care Center in Lockport, NY.

    Ruth moved from Olcott Beach to Lockport in 2010. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling and spending time with her family.

    Loving mother of Denise (John) Barnett, Deborah Rutland, all of FL, Cindy (Nelson Jex) Farina and William (Tammy) Rutland, all of Lockport. Grandmother of Lisa, Glen, John, Brian, Jerad, Matthew, Nicole and Kyle. Sister of Norma (Don) Ramsdell of FL and the late Margaret Smith. Sister-in-law of James Smith of Florida and Cleo Semple of MA. Also survived by two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY, on TUESDAY 4-8 PM, where a memorial service will be held at 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery, Newfane, NY, at the convenience of the family. Memorials to Olcott Lions Club, PO Box 316, Olcott, NY 14126, would be appreciated by family.

    Margaret Leatrice Gardiner, 79, of Port Orange, FL, passed away on August 10, 2016 from Pancreatic Cancer at the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia Flagler, Port Orange, FL under mild medication. She was born in Middleport, NY on September 10, 1936 to the late Ernest William Swarthout and Irma Lillian Weiland Swarthout.
    She received an Associate's Degree from the University of Buffalo. Margaret retired as the Clerk of the Legislature in Lockport, NY and she also retired from LensCrafters in Daytona Beach, FL. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Robert Charles Gardiner, Sr. of Port Orange, FL; her daughter, Cheryl Patterson of Davy, WV; her son, Douglas Patterson of Lockport, NY; and her daughter, Renaute Claire of Lockport, NY; her seven grandchildren, her 10 great-grandchildren, and her one great-great grandchild.
    In the words of Margaret "I'm sorry I cannot help anymore, I'm tired and I have gone to Eternal rest. There will be no funeral services held, so please help to continue rescuing animals by supporting the Humane Society. Goodbye for now."
    Her ashes will be lovingly kept by her husband until he can join her ashes, then to be placed in their permanent gravesite located in New York State at Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery, Royalton Center Road, Niagara County.     Richard N. Lindke, 29 of 6663 Ditch Road, Middleport died Monday (Dec 12, 1966) in Doctor's Hospital, Tonawanda, after an extended illness. He was born Feb 28, 1937 in Medina, the son of Norman and Viola Fitch Lindke, now residing at the Middleport address. He was graduated in 1955 from Akron Central School. Mr. Lindke was employed for 9 years at the Ford Gum Co. in Akron. Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Miss Karen Lindke of Buffalo, Mrs. Ronald (Deborah) Bower of Akron and Miss Bonnie Lindke, at home; a niece Teresa and his grandfather Martin Lindke. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rose Funeral Home, 32 John St., Akron.Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville, with the Rev.     MIDDLEPORT - Karen J. Pollworth of Middleport, passed away Monday evening, October 18, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Pollworth was born in Medina, NY, on April 4, 1947, daughter of the late Norman and Viola (Fitch) Lindke. Mrs. Pollworth has lived in Middleport since 1977 and was employed at Fisher Price. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and she enjoyed her family, antiquing, flower gardening, art and crafts including painting. She was an environmental activist and she also enjoyed cats. She was predeceased by a sister, Viola Lindke; and a brother, Richard Lindke. She is survived by her three children, Kyle Pollworth of Tennessee, Brian (Krystal) Pollworth of Gasport and Jennifer (Tony) Waldron of Indiana; two step-children, Jeffrey (Christina) Pollworth of Tennessee and Scott (Shari) Pollworth of S. Carolina; also surviving are six grandchildren, Justyn Pollworth of N. Carolina, Joseph Clark, Connor Pollworth and Liam Pollworth, all of Gasport, Kenneth Pollworth of Tennessee and Sean Pollworth of S. Carolina; two sisters, Bonnie (Alberto) Cicciarelli of Lockport and Deborah (Marvin) Frey of Middleport; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may all Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7- 9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Rt. 31, Middleport, NY, with the Rev. David Triplett officiating.
