    Charles Owen Bryant was born on October 1, 1944 at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City Mo. He lived 68 years 279 days. Butch was brought into this world by two wonderful parents, Judge Allen and Mae Dellna Hayes Bryant. He was greeted by three brothers and three sisters, Judge (JW) William, Tom Leon, Billy (Popeye) Hayes, Shirley Jean, Doris Dean , and Joann. Charles was unique in the fact that he was known by various names. Charles was his legal name, his mother called him Butch, some of his brothers and sisters called him Chuck, and he had Uncles and Aunts that called him Charlie. Charles was married to Carol Appleman on Nov. 27 1966, at NKC MO. To this Union two children were born. Gary Wayne Bryant and Christina Marie Bryant Gaar. Butch and Carol were married 34 years till cancer took her in Dec. 2000. Chuck loved to fish, he liked going to Taneycomo to fish for trout. Chuck also liked animals, he always had a dog and or a cat. He enjoyed Abby his St.Bernard who died last year. His cat Sassy who is 18 years old still lives at the home. Butch was a avid ballroom dancer. It was there he met his loving companion Patricia Robinson. They shared the last 10 years of his life, enjoying weekends, trips and cruises. It was a very happy time of life for Chuck and Patricia. Butch loved his cars he liked tinkering with them, washing and waxing them. He liked working in his backyard, he always had good tomato plants. Butch and Carol hosted a 4th of July Bryant family reunion for many years. These will always be remembered by those of us who went. Chuck worked 20 years at Stowe Hardware till it closed. He then worked at Mid Continent Tool and Molding till his death. Charles was a Christian as were both his parents. He had a deep and quiet belief in our Lord Jesus Christ. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Carol Sue, his mother and father Judge Allen and Mae Dellna Hayes, two brothers Judge William Bryant and Billy Hayes Bryant. He is survived by Patricia Robinson of the home, one son Gary Wayne Bryant and his wife Wilma of Branson Mo. One daughter Christina Marie Gaar and husband J.C. of Parkville Mo. One brother Thomas Leon Bryant of Montana and three sisters, Shirley Jean Close of Kansas City, Mo. Doris Dean Remy of Harrisonville Mo. and JoAnne Gillispie of Cameron Mo. Seven grandchildren, and hundreds of other relatives and friends.
    Chuck will be missed by all.
