A retired employe of the New
York State Electric and Gaa
Corporation, Roy H. Buchanan, 68,
of 15 Livingston Place, died early
today in Lockport City Hospital.
Mr. Buchanan was born in Lockport
on May 10. 1879, son of form-
er Policeman Robert B. Buchanan
a n d M a r g a r e t S i l k Buchanan. For
38 years he was employed by the
electric and gas company where
he was in charge of the electric
meters department. He was a
member of Red Jacket Lodge, 646,
F&AM.
Surviving are two sons, Police
Sergt. Robert J. Buchanan of this
city and R. James Buchanan of
Youngstown, O.; two brothers,,
James S and Deuty County Clerk
Ross G. Buchanan, and one sister,
Mrs. Garuder, all of Lock-
port.
Services will be held Wednesday
at 11 o'clock at the Prudden
Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., the
Rev. Reginald Groff,, curate of
Gracce Episcopal Church, officiat-
ing. Burial will be in Cold Springs
Cemettery.

BUCHANAN - R. James Buchanan
passed away at his home,
4708 Brookwood A v e n u e.
Youngstown. Ohio, Saturday.
November 14, 1964. He leaves
his wife Dorothy McKnight Buchanan,
one son and two daughters,
James, Patricia, and Nancy
at home, and one brother,
Robert J. Buchanan of Lockport.
Friends may call at the
Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market
Street, Youngstown, Ohio,
Monday afternoon and evening.
Funeral services will be held at
St. Charles Church, Youngstown,
Ohio, Tuesday morning at
10:30 o'clock.

James Buchanan, 46. died Saturday
(Nov. 14, 1964) »t his
home, 4708 Brookwood Ave.,
Youngstown, Ohio, after a long
illness.
He was born In Lockport, July
26, 1918. a son of the late Roy
H. and Nellie Blake Buchanan.
He had lived in Youngstown
for the past 19 years.
Mr. Buchanan was sales engineer
and regional manager of
Automatic Sprinkler Corp. of
America and 14 years. For »he
past three years he had been
general manager of the Special
Hazard Division.
He was a member of St.
Charles Church of Youngstown,
the Holy Name Society of the
church. Fire Protective Society,
Elks Lodge No. 55 and the
Society of Protective Engineers.
He was a major in the U.S. Marine
Corps and saw action in
World War II and the Korean
Conflict.
Mr. Buchanan was married
to the former Dorothy McKnight
of Lockport in 1947.
Besides his widow, he is sur
vived by a son, James; two
daughters, Patricia and Nancy,
all at home; and a brother.
Robert J. Buchanan, a detective
sergeant on the Lockport
Police Department.
Friends may call Monday afternoon
and evening at the Fox
Funeral home, 4700 Market St.,
Youngstown, Ohio. Funeral services
will be held at 10:30 a.m.
tomorrow at St. Charles Church.
