Cynthia V. Chuilli, 62, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away in her home February 23, 2023. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY.


She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren who meant the world to her. Cindy loved to travel, camp and fish. She liked playing cards, board games, crafting and baking. She enjoyed crocheting and loved to share her craft, by gifting her homemade blankets to friends and family. She was also an avid gardener.


She is survived by her partner Milton Holt; daughter Heather Chuilli; step-daughter Danielle (Jeff) Dixon; four grandchildren Sebastian, Joseph, Julia and Alyvia; her brother Gerry (Dawn) Chuilli; several nieces, nephews and friends. She will be missed by her beloved cats, Aliece and Moscato. She is predeceased by her mother Cecilia (Johnson) Chuilli; brothers Thomas DePetris and Robert Chuilli; sister Alice Snyder; and granddaughter Angelina Dixon.


A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 4th from 3-6pm at American Legion NY Post 381, 923 Niagara Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Alice L. (Chuilli) Snyder, a lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, New York passed away on January 4th,2016. She was 73. She was born in Niagara Falls on January 14, 1942, the daughter of the late Steve and Cecelia (Johnson) Chuilli. She attended local schools, including NCCC, and worked for General Cinema and in the Food Court at the Summit Park Mall.

Mrs. Snyder was a longtime member of Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church, where she was actively involved teaching Sunday School and was a member of the Vestry (board member), the Alter Guild, and thoroughly enjoyed volunteering during the annual Lenten fish fry and coffee hours. Alice was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Order of Italian Sons and Daughters of America, and 240 Cataract. She was active in The Girl Scouts, a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 861, and a lifetime volunteer at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in the Gift Shop and human resources.

She is survived by her three children: JoAnn Lanich, Elizabeth (Dave) Rice, and Alexander (Michele) Snyder. Alice loved babysitting and spending time with her 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Cynthia Chuilli, Steve Chuilli, James Wilson, and Gerry Chuilli. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Robert Chuilli, Thomas DePetris, and her most beloved grandmother Alice (Wackett) Johnson.

For the past two years Alice has enjoyed life in Venice and Englewood Florida. Her time there was spent taking trips to the beach and walks among Florida’s natural beauty. She loved the abundance of colorful plants, and wildlife, especially the alligators, gopher tortoises, dolphins and the amazing bald eagles. Alice’s life in Florida was especially blessed with several joyful visits from her best friend, sister in law Florence D’Antuono.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 616 Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls, New York on Saturday January 16th, 2016 at 11 am. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice.
