Noticed your entry in Ancestry World Tree regarding Arnold Tatroe. In my over 40 years of research into the Tétreau/Tatro/Tatroe etc. family, I've known about this family for quite some time, and have traced Arnold's ancestry back to Louis Tétreau, who was in Canada by 1660. One stumbling block has been to learn where (city & state) and when (month,day,year) Arnold married his first wife Lillian Belle Hull, probably about 1913. They were divorced before 1938, when he married Julia Daskam in Pound Ridge NY on June 26. Eventually, Arnold died in the area of Chattahoochee FL on Oct 2, 1973 -- the Social Security Death Index gives his birth as July 11, 1892. He had a son by Belle Hull, Arnold, born in Wayland MA in 1917, who died in Niagara Falls NY in 2001. Correspondence over the years with family members failed to disclose any data regarding the Hull marriage. However, correspondence with one of Arnold's sons, Joseph, confirmed that it was the elder Arnold and not the younger who married as his 3rd wife, Jenny Capocetti in Florida. Do you by any chance have any knowledge of the Hull marriage?

Jennie married TATROE, Arnold W in 1943 in Florida. Arnold (son of TATROE, Arnold W and HULL, Lillian Belle) was born on 10 Jul 1917 in Wayland, Mass; died on 2 Jan 2001 in Niagara Falls, NY; was buried in St Joseph's Cemetery. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

WICKENBURG, AZ — Gary John Tatroe passed away on Jan. 18, 2012 in Wickenburg, AZ. He was 65.

Gary was born Aug. 29, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY, to the late Arnold W. Tatroe and Jennie Capicitti.

He loved to help people when he could and liked to go to bike shows. He also served our country as a veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Tatroe of Niagara Falls; daughters, Sheila Tatroe of Niagara Falls, Dawn Tatroe of Florida, and Renee Tatroe of Niagara Falls; sons, Mac Tatroe of Niagara Falls and John Tatroe of Florida; stepchild, Marie Maple of Niagara Falls; six grandchildren; one grandchild; and a good friend that he called "Mom" who was his caregiver, Josephine Marshanke, now of Niagara Falls; and other family members. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Tatroe of Niagara Falls and the sweet mother of his children, Joyce Hope.

Gloria F. (Tatroe) Lauer 63, of the Packard Court Apartments, Niagara Falls passed away peacefully Friday August 3, 2007 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center , after a brief illness. She was born in Niagara Falls on July 13, 1944 to the late Arnold and Jennie (Cappocetti) Tatroe. and attended local schools. In 1966 the former Gloria Francine Tatroe married Richard Lauer in Niagara Falls. He passed away in 2001.

For over 15 years Mrs. Lauer worked in the laundry at the Radisson Hotel in Niagara Falls retiring in 2000.
She is survived by her daughter Terri Lauer of Buffalo, NY. and two brothers Larry Tatroe of Niagara Falls, NY and Gary Tatroe of Florida. Mrs. Lauer was predeceased by her husband and her parents. The family will be present to receive friends Tuesday 4:00 - 5:00 PM at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME 1300 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY. where Funeral Services will follow at 5:00 PM Friends invited.. Lawrence J. Tatroe, 59, of Niagara Falls, NY, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born November 22, 1948 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Arnold W. and Jennie (Cappoccetti) Tatroe and attended local schools. Larry enjoyed motorcycles and surfing when visiting in Florida.He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Paul) Archie of Nevada; brother, Gary J. (Marjorie) Tatroe of Niagara Falls, NY; grandchildren, Amanda Archie, Joseph Archie; former wife, Esther Engeholm of Nevada; three nieces and one nephew.
