Flynn of Buffalo, Erie, Co., N.Y., and the young couple moved in with the bride's cousins, Mr. & Mrs. Harold E. & Elizabeth Barney at 344 DeWitt St., Buffalo, N.Y. While Charles worked in construction, Mary soon found herself expecting their first child.

Mildred Ruth was the fourth child and only daughter of Edward and Mary Pearl Wood Buckner, born on March 06, 1913, in Medina, Orleans County.
Within a month the family was struck with the tragic and untimely death of Mildred's mother, which was deemed due to heart failure and complications of delivery. This left Edward Buckner alone with two young sons and a new born daughter. His decision was to place Mildred for adoption to August and Louisa Hellert.
Mildred had a wonderful childhood with the Hellert family, doted on by two wonderful parents and two step-brothers Frederick and Elmer. Frederick died when Mildred was only 5 years old, at the age of 18. Elmer remained close with Mildred his entire life.
Mildred was reunited with her two biological brothers Carl and Charles Buckner in young adulthood only to lose Charles in a work related accident in 1931 when he was only 24 years old. She also formed a close life long bond with Carl.
She married Francis Edward Stull on Sept. 22, 1934 in Franklinville, Cattaraugus County and they had one son and one daughter, both of whom married and provided them with grandchildren which were the delight of Mildred's life.
Mildred died on February 21, 1979 shortly after a visit from Ed who was a patient in the same hospital in Buffalo, NY..... we all feel he must have decided that there was no reason to go on because he died less than 48 hours later on February 23rd.
