Obituary of Frances Reale

Frances Reale passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family, September 19, 2021.  Born October 5, 1923 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Tindaro and Prudence (Amato) Bucolo.  Fran was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Felix Reale.  She worked for Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors Corporation from 1942 – 1951.  She then left to begin and raise a family. 
Frances is survived by her four children Jennine Blackley, John (Robin) Reale, Daniel (Kim) Reale, and Phillip Reale; grandchildren Michelle (Chris) Glynn, Michael Blackley, Joseph (Rachel) Reale, Christine (Jason) Weibel, Jenny (Tony) Stella, and Nicholas Reale; great grandchildren Natalie Wagner, Lillian Weibel, Jamison Weibel, Isabella Stella, Jenson Stella, Anthony Stella, Jr., Christopher Glynn, Jr., Isabelle Anne Glynn, Bryce, and Gage Joseph Reale; also several nieces and nephews.
Frances had ten siblings Lena Randall, Anna (late Theodore) Kyzmir, Viola (late Charles) Scinta, Linda (late Edward) Rice, Michael Bucolo, and predeceased by Santo, Daniel, Roy Bucolo, and Sarah (late Donald) Whitney; five sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law Marcia Bucolo, Marie Bucolo, Florence (late Daniel) Sanmarco, Michael (Patricia) Reale, Anna (late Donald) Amis, Madeline (late Harry) Merrell, and Louie (Donna) Reale.
Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt who will be sadly missed by all.

Sarah Whitney

FacebookTwitterBeloved mother, grandmother, and "G.G.," Sarah Bucolo Whitney passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 23rd, 2019.
Sarah was born on Christmas Day in 1925 and grew up in Lowertown, Lockport, during the Great Depression and World War II. She often shared memories of Lowertown, St. Joseph's Church, Dewitt Clinton, and many neighborhood friends.
In the late 1940s, she met Donald "Whit" Whitney at a dance at Wright's Corners. They married in 1950 in a double wedding with her sister, "Babe," and Whit's best friend, Frank "Timmer"Allen. Sarah and Whit eventually moved to Gasport where they made a home, a life and raised four beautiful daughters. Sarah missed Whit everyday since he "left us" in 2007, but is now finally back in his arms and happy again.
Sarah loved to be in her yard and had many beautiful flower gardens and roses. She and Whit often worked in the "back 40" and "Green Forest" which all of their children, grandchildren, and almost all of their great-grandchildren have played in and adored.
She was also an amazing and meticulous cook. Her daughters often tried to duplicate her dishes but she always felt it was her duty to let them know what they should have done differently to make the dish better. Her Italian cookies, especially her cucciddati, were consistently perfect in taste, size, and appearance. Whit was given the "rejects" to sample at home, but the unblemished sweets were reserved for St. Joseph's Day, holidays, family weddings, and other special occasions.
Sarah cherished her family; her world revolved around them. She constantly wanted them at her home for many parties, Sunday afternoons, or evening coffee at the kitchen table.
Sarah was a spirited, strong, and caring woman. Everything she did, she did with her whole heart and never settled for anything less than the best from anyone. The memories she left behind will always be treasured by her family and friends. She is at home now with Whit, a beautiful rose garden, and family and friends that passed before her.
Sarah was pre-deceased by her husband, Donald "Whit" Whitney; and parents, Tindaro and Prudence (Amato) Bucolo.
She leaves behind four loving daughters, Stephanie (Jay) Marotta, Maria (late Dan) Tyson, Donna (Dale) Faulkner, Linda (Dan) Bernard; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth (Vito) Destito, Jeremy (Sara) Bernard, Emily (Eric) Lunde, Adam (Jennifer) Tyson, Jason (Sarah) Marotta, Michael Marotta, Julia (Bryan) Thurston, Amanda (Corey) Gaesser; and nine great-grandchildren, Lucy, Reagan, Hattie, and Whit Lunde; Henry, Quinn, and Maren Bernard; Emilia Tyson; and Francesco Destito.
Sarah had ten siblings, (late) Santo Bucolo, Frances (Felix) Reale, (late) Daniel (Marie) Bucolo, (late) Prudence (Frank) Allen, Lena Randall, Anna (late Theodore) Kyzmir, Viola (late Charles) Scinta, Roy (Marcia) Bucolo, Linda (late Edward) Rice, and Michael Bucolo. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Monday July 1st from 5-8 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Oratory, Market Street Lockport, NY, on Tuesday July 2nd at 10:00 AM. Interment at Cold Springs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the American Heart Association.

Obituary of Lena K. Randall

Lena K. Randall passed away January 20, 2022 in Eastern Niagara Hospital.  Born July 25, 1931 in Lockport she was the daughter of Tindaro and Prudence (Amato) Bucolo.  Lena worked for Fisher Price in production.  She enjoyed going to the casino, cooking, traveling, gardening, flowers, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Lena’s sons are Jeff, Mark, Daniel, and Richard Randall; grandchildren Dylan, Jordan, Jared, Brittany, Lauryn, Daniel, and several great grandchildren; also several siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Wednesday, January 26th at 10 AM in All Saints Oratory, 391 Market St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.

Obituary of Roy Bucolo
Roy J. Bucolo passed away March 27, 2020 in Elderwood at Lockport. Born November 14, 1937 in Lockport he was the son of Tindaro and Prudence (Amato) Bucolo. Roy proudly served in the National Guard and worked for Harrison Radiator for 30 years where he was a tow motor operator. He enjoyed gardening in his flowerbeds and was Notre Dame Football’s biggest fan.Roy is survived by his wife of 58 years Marcia (Felton) Bucolo; daughter Prudence (Jonathan) Blank; grandchildren Katie (Ryan) Sidoti, Jessica, and Michael Blank; siblings, (late) Santo Bucolo, Frances (late Felix) Reale, (late) Sarah and Donald Whitney, (late) Daniel (Marie) Bucolo, (late) Prudence (Frank) Allen, Lena Randall, Anna (late Theodore) Kyzmir, Viola (late Charles) Scinta, Linda (late Edward) Rice, and Michael Bucolo; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
