    Notes:

Jerome Charles Bucolo passed into eternal life on February 25th, 2024 at the age of 89.  He was born November 5th, 1934 to Joseph and Mary (Corriere) Bucolo.  Beloved husband, soulmate and ‘general’ to Cynthia (Sawicki) Bucolo.  For 37 years he was the concrete rock of our family; stepfather/Dad to Robert Crummet and Christina (Jeffrey) Crummet; greatest Papa to Molly and Maisie Crummet; dearest son-in-law of Judith Sawicki (late Chester); brother-in-law to Kenneth Sawicki; pre-deceased by his 10 siblings: Frances Pusateri-McKay, Rose Loiacano, Santo, Theresa, Michael, James, Michael, Anna, Lena Cummings, and Delia Martin; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, cousins and good friends.
Jerry started his life-long masonry contracting career as a teenager working for his father in the concrete and cinder block manufacturing business.  He later worked for his brother Santo before partnering up with his brothers Mike and Jim under Bucolo Brothers Concrete.  Jerry later split off on his own as J.C. Bucolo Concrete where he became Lockport’s concrete Legend while teaching the trade to the next generation of nephews and many Ray Brigham workers.  Jerry continued his concrete passion and could be seen on job sites until he was 87 years old.
Jerry graduated from DeSales high school in 1953 where he excelled in athletics, playing football, basketball, and baseball with his good friends Tony Villella, Frank Danna, Bill Kirsch and of course his favorite teammate, Father Joe Dumphrey.  Jerry served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1963.
When Jerry was not pouring concrete, he enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, taking in races at the track, winning big at the casino, looking after his cherished dog Missy and later all of the neighborhood cats.
In his final days he rested comfortably at home under the loving care of family and Niagara Hospice.
Relatives and friends will be invited to a Memorial Mass in the spring.  Donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.
