    Elaine M. Hackett Of Newfane, NY wife of Ronald Hackett entered into rest suddenly Monday, December 12, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane. She was born in Lockport, NY June 12, 1944, the daughter of Beatrice Bissell Buczkowski of Newfane and the late Matthew “Mac” Buczkowski. She married Ronald Hackett June 21, 1969. She worked for Dr. Middleman in Lockport for many years. Elaine and Ronald wintered in Florida. She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren, casino trips and gardening. Mother of Stacey (Scott) Pollock of Newfane and Kevin (Amy) Hackett of Gainesville, FL. Grandmother of Steven and Joseph Pollock and Samantha and Taylor Hackett. Sister of Matthew (Leslie) Buczkowski of Newfane. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY WEDNESDAY 2-4 & 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held THURSDAY at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

    Rita (Yanicki) Lamb went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2020 in Newfane Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. She was born October 31, 1940 in Lockport, NY to the late Stanley and Jean (Buczkowski) Yanicki.
    Rita was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Douglas (Doug) Lamb, in 2011. She is survived by her children, Sheila (Tom) Perry, Kevin (Annette) Lamb, and Suzanne Lamb; grandmother to Melissa, Joshua, Jacob, and Simon; and great-grandmother of 2. Rita was preceded in death by her sister Stephanie Bauer and survived by her sisters, Judy (late Robert) Call and Kathy Ortiz, and several nieces and nephews.
    Rita worked many years as head cook at Garlock’s Restaurant and also worked as a nurse’s aide throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with family, “people-watching,” and reading a book while enjoying a cup of coffee.
    The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the caring nursing staff and aides at Newfane Rehabilitation & Health Care Center for their compassion and care during her time there.
    A memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Anita Buczkowski Tice passed away after a long battle with Pancreatic cancer on March 29th, 2018.  Born on September 8, 1952, Anita was survived by her husband Daniel R. Tice.  They had been married for 44 years, and had spent their entire married life in the Lockport/Cambria area.  Anita is also survived by one son, Daniel R. Tice Jr. (Chelsea), and has four granddaughters, Hailey Wilkins, Kylie Wilkins, Alyssa Tice and Gianna Tice. 
    She is also survived by four brothers, Paul (Frances) Buczkowski, Joseph (Karen) Buczkowski, James (Barbara) Buczkowski and John (Judith) Buczkowski.
    Anita was a member of Niagara Clown Alley performing as Dizzy Lizzy.  She also participated as a clown each year at the Lockport Exchange Club Circus.
    Anita was also a member of the Barge Canal Optimist Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and also attending NASCAR and Dirt Car races. 
    She had worked for the Niagara County Department of Mental Health and Niagara County Probation Department as a secretary for a total of 36 years, retiring in 2007.
    Visiting hours will be held at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home on April 3rd from 4pm-8pm.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Lockport on April 4th at 10am.  Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
