    Charmayne A. Pollow

    Of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, in  Elderwood at Williamsville.  She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 2, 1945, a daughter of the late Anthony and  Nancy [Anello] Sanfilippo.
    Mrs. Pollow was a graduate of LaSalle High School.
    After moving to Youngstown in 1975, she became the food service manager at Lew-Port School District for 21 years and later became a secretary with the Town of Porter Highway Department.
    She was a member of the Youngstown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
    Mrs. Pollow greatest enjoyment, was spending time with her family and was an avid Bills and Sabres Fan.
    She was the wife of the late James F. Pollow, Sr., who passed away in October of 1992.
    Mrs. Pollow is survived by her children James F. (Richelle) Pollow, Jr., Steven A. (Michele Dispenza)  Pollow and Kim (John) Hartman, six grandchildren Krystle (Jeremy) Brown, Jeremy (Joann) Pollow, Jacob Church, Jonathon Hartman, Joshuah Hartman and Anthony Pollow,  five great grandchildren  Aaron, Gered, Jason, Kaden and Adalynn, a sister Toni Sanfilippo and a brother in law Louis Scudieri, also many nieces and nephews.
    She was the sister of the late Rosalie (Anthony) Viapiano, Nancy Scudieri, Connie (Michael) Puglisi and Mary Ann (Ronald) Pennesi.
    Her family will be present on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM.
    Memorials may be made in her name to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company.
    Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.

    Antoinette Sanfilippo, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Nancy (Anello) Sanfilippo.
    Antoinette attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1959. She began working in the bakery department of Nabisco Shredded Wheat and later retired as a fork lift operator after 28 years of dedicated service. She continued to stay active by working as a cashier at Hyde Park Golf Course for 14 years.
    Antoinette was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loved bowling well into her golden years. She also enjoyed watching true crime shows. Above all, Antoinette centered her life around her beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Antoinette is survived by three daughters, Debra (James) Milton, Rosalie (Chris Skrzypek) Pharo, Joelle (Patrick DiLaura) Pharo; her grandchildren, Angela (Hamad) Al-Humakani, Antoinette (Jon Hart) Chumley, John (Susan) Chumley, Lindsey (Brett) Woodard, Daniel Pharo, Michael (Jessica) Pharo and Jazmine Brinson; 10 loving great-grandchildren; her daughters-in-law, Shannyn Pharo and Louise Augustyniak; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Along with her parents, she was sadly predeceased by her son Leonard Grove Pharo III and her siblings, Connie (late Michael) Puglisi, Rosalie (late Anthony) Viapiano, Nancy (Louis) Scudieri, MaryAnne (late Ronald) Pennesi and Charmayne (late James Sr.) Pollow. 
    Visitation will be Sunday, February 18 from 2 – 5 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin Monday, February 19 at 9:15 AM, followed by Antoinette’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY will be held privately.

    Age 90, passed away surrounded by family at home in Rock Hill, SC on May 16, 2019. She loved selflessly, cared endlessly, she loved family more than anything else and you were lucky to have her in your life! Rosalie was born on March 26, 1929 in Albion, NY to the late Anthony and Nancy (Anello) Sanfilippo. She attended local schools and graduated from Lasalle Senior High School in 1947. She went to Beauty School in Buffalo, NY and had her own beauty shop in her home for many years. Rosalie also worked for Sierra Research. Rosalie loved to have a party ("the Pearl Mesta of Cheektowaga"), play pinochle, dominoes, cards, bake, bowl, make trips to Niagara Falls, go to sister's lunch, have sleepovers with her grand kids and just spend time with everyone. Rosalie, Rose, Rosie, Nina, Aunt Ro, Gram, and GiGi was predeceased by her husband Anthony Viapiano. She is survived by her sons; Peter (Christine Gooch) of Belmont, NC, Dr. James (Mary Curry) of Rock Hill, SC and Paul (Kimberly Strickler) of Williamsville, NY. She had eight grandchildren: Christopher Viapiano (Elaine Ewing), Anthony Viapiano (Denise Pfahler), Sarah Aycock (Justin), Kate Grabowski (Dr. Gregory), Samantha Maglaris (Stephen), Andrew Viapiano (Sarah Pecor), Ethan and Jemma Viapiano. She also has 12 great-grandchildren: Caroline, Eve and James Viapiano, Jacob and Kelsey Aycock, Emory, Tucker and Adeline Grabowski, Ellie, Charlotte and Finley Maglaris and Lillian Viapiano. Rosalie is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law: Antoinette Sanfilippo, Charmayne Pollow (late James) and Louis Scudieri. She was predeceased by three sisters: Constance Puglisi (Michael), Nancy Scudieri (Louis) and Mary Ann Pennesi (Ronald). She is survived by sisters-in-law Theresa DeCillo (Theodore), Lucy Cianciosi (Robert) and predeceased by Joseph Viapiano (Roseanne), Madeline Cianciosi (Angelo) and Philomena Viapiano. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins which she loved dearly. The family will be present on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 3-8 PM at the (Cleveland Hill Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 569 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 9:30 AM at Infant of Prague Church, 921 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga, NY. Please assemble at church. Flowers gratefully declined.     Nancy J. (Sanfilippo) Scudieri, 82, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 2, 1934 in Lakewood, OH to the late Anthony and Nancy (Anello) Sanfilippo.

    Nancy came to Niagara Falls as a child with her family. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1952. On September 9, 1961 she married Louis F. Scudieri. Nancy was employed by the Niagara Falls Board of Education and was most notably known as “Aunt Nance,” the Guidance Office secretary at the former LaSalle Senior High School. She retired in 1996. While raising her children, Nancy was a home baker specializing in wedding cakes. From the 1950’s through the 1970’s she had an accomplished bowling career topped by a 297 game in 1973 at a New York State Tournament in Rochester, NY. Nancy enjoyed breakfasts with her family and friends, baking, cooking, ceramics, playing cards and dominos. But most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    In addition to her husband of fifty four years, Nancy is survived by one son Anthony (Dyan Slack) Scudieri of Plano, TX; three daughters Louise Scudieri and Pauline Scudieri both of Decatur, TX and Rosalie (Louis) Sciarrino of Niagara Falls, NY; four grandchildren Vincent (Tehren) Scudieri, Nicholas Scudieri, Dominic Sciarrino and Maria Sciarrino; two great grandchildren Noah and Oliver Scudieri; three sisters Rosalie (late Anthony) Viapiano, Antoinette Sanfilippo and Charmayne (late James, Sr.) Pollow and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters Constance (late Michael) Puglisi and MaryAnn (late Ronald) Pennesi and one sister-in-law Orsola Scudieri.

    The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, July 1st followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Scudieri’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 5500 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14221.

    Kim Hartman, 54, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in N.F. Memorial Hospital. Born in Lewiston, NY she was the daughter of the late James ‘Jimmy’ 'Big Jim' F. Sr. and Charmayne A. (Sanfilippo) Pollow; and the beloved wife of John Hartman.
    Kim graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School and received her business credentials at Kelley Business Institute. She served as the manager of Rainbow Shops on Portage Road in Niagara Falls for many years.
    Kim enjoyed bowling with her husband and spending time with her family. She also had a love for animals, and especially enjoyed caring for her ferrets, two dogs, and parakeet. 
    In addition to her husband of 27 years, Kim is survived by her children, Jacob Church, Jonathon Hartman and Joshuah Hartman; her brothers, James ‘Jimmy’ F. (Richelle) Pollow, Jr. and Steven A. (Michele Dispenza) Pollow, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 
    Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13 from 3 – 7 PM and Sunday, April 14 from 11 - 3 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.

    Peter Anthony Pennesi of Olive Branch, MS, aged 61, passed away unexpectedly on January 20, 2021. Peter was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Ronald and Mary Ann Pennesi.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa's parents - Eugene and Florence Nudo, and his sister-in-law, Jean Nudo Morreale.

    He is survived by his beloved wife, best friends since junior high school, Theresa Nudo Pennesi, married for 37 devoted years. He is survived by his loving children Erica (Jordan) Wissel of Nashville, TN, and Hayley Pennesi (Craig Bisacre) of College Station, TX. Also surviving are his two sisters, Nancy Pennesi of Niagara Falls, NY, Meribeth (Tim) Morton of Bartlett, TN, his sister-in-law Mary (Thomas) Zimmerman of Lockport, NY, as well as his nieces and nephews, Sam (Maggie) Morreale, Charles Zimmerman, Faith, and Grace Morton. He also leaves his canine companions, Coda, Cadence, and Cannon.

    Peter received his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia. He went on to become a licensed Customs House Broker. Peter and Theresa were relocated to Memphis, TN by V. Alexander & Co., Inc. in 1988. Peter was known for his craftsmanship as everyone's go-to handyman and cooking for the masses. Some of Peter's most cherished memories were spent on the Mississippi River as the Transporkers Pit Master for 20 years at the Memphis in May BBQ Fest. He is also known for making the best homemade Italian sausage. He spent many weekends cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Vols. Peter's favorite pastime was planning his family vacations to visit Mickey and Minnie Mouse at DisneyWorld and supporting his daughters in all their activities.
