Coder on October 22, 1957. Loving mother of Larry (Barbara) Sherman, Stephen Sherman, Dora (Edwin) Baker, Donald (late JoAnn) Coder, Pamela (Everett) Hewitt, Margaret (Donald) Hall, Cheryl Perry, late Madeline (Jamie) Licht, late LynneMarie Coder. Loving grandmother of Benjamin Sherman, Charlie Bootes, Laurie Harrington, Sean Baker, Kellie Lee Goodwin, John Coder, Randal Peddicord, Jr., Tiffany Peddicord, Donald Hall, Jessica Perry, Jason Perry and Jennifer Licht; great-grandmother of six; and great-great-grandmother of one. Loving daughter of the late Adophus and late Nancy (Gerschwender) Bennett. Loving sister to Charles (Sue), Joseph (Peg), late James, late Robert. During the Korean War, Nancy served as Seaman Radioman 1st Class in the Navy. Nancy studied at the Kelly's School of Business and had a successful career as a bookkeeper. She was involved in the Pierce Avenue Presbyterian Church, bible study, and was a leader in both Girl and Cub Scouts. She was an avid quilter and loved traveling, especially to visit family. She played softball into her 60's, and worked into her late 70's. She was always encouraging, with a smile for all. Even in death she thought of others first by donating her body to the UB Medical School. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family.

    Madeline I. Licht, of Niagara Falls, died on Thursday, June 2, 2016 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 48. She was born in Niagara Falls, New York on May 1, 1968, the daughter Nancy (Bennett) Coder of Niagara Falls and the late Donald Eugene Coder. She attended the Niagara Wheatfield Central School district and was a graduate of its high school.
    Mrs. Licht was employed By TJ Maxx Corp and most recently worked for the Hamburg location as assistant manager.
    She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jamie D. Licht; a daughter, Jennifer Licht of CT; siblings, Larry (Barb) Sherman of Grand Island; Stephen Sherman and Dora (Ed) Baker both of Niagara Falls; Donald (late Joanne) Coder of TN; Pam (Evert) Hewitt and Margaret (Don) Hall both of Niagara Falls; Cheryl Perry of AL and many nieces and nephews.
    A remembrance gathering will be held at a later date for her family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC.
