  1. 1.  LEWIS, Edward was born about 1932 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY; died on 5 Mar 2021 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY.

    Notes:

    On March 5, 2021 Edward "Eddie" Lewis has been reunited with the love of his life, Bridget "Biddy" Lewis, for "Sentimental Reasons." Ed passed peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 89 under care of Niagara Hospice. Ed was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY. He was the son of the late Carodoc and Lillian (Hoffman) Lewis.
    On September 3rd, 1949 Ed married Bridget (Dugan) Lewis. They raised three sons, John, David and Danny, and their daughter Bridget.
    Ed was hired at the NYS Power Authority and worked as a Hot Stick Lineman. Ed retired as President and business manager of Local Union 2104, International Brotherhood Of the Electrical Workers, where he made a lifelong impact for the union members. There are many of Ed's accomplishments, he was a former Niagara County Legislator. He was also a former President of the Niagara-Orleans Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, and a former member of the Niagara County Community College Labor Studies Advisory Committee. Ed also held a Vice President position for the New York State Association of Electrical Workers where he served many terms.
    After retiring Ed opened his own contractor business, as building was his passion. Ed continued to work on projects into his late 80's as he loved to stay busy.
    Ed enjoyed golfing, skiing and bowling with his family and friends. Ed and Biddy would love spending time on their boat where they would enjoy many summer weekends at the Tonawanda Island Launch Club with all their friends that were more like family. Ed held the title of Commodore and Trustee at the Tonawanda Island Launch Club. Every winter for 40 years Ed and Biddy called N. Myrtle Beach their home. Ed would always find time to watch all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. He was known for his long stories, amazing memory and compassion to help family and friends with any project around their house.
    Ed was predeceased by his wife, Bridget Lewis; and his son, David; brothers, William (the late Louise), Dick (Carol) David; and sister, Peggy-Jean Reed. Ed is survived by his children, father of John (Cathy), Daniel (Lauren) Lewis and Bridget (Michael) Demarco. Also surviving are the loves of his life, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
    Future Memorial arrangements will be announced at a later date.
    If desired, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice.
