    Notes:

    Rose A. (Manasian) Battino of Niagara Falls, NY, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Manasian, passed away on August 21, 2017 in the company of her husband and family, while under the care of O.L.P Nursing Residence.
    Rose was a 1941 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She excelled in Armenian history, learning to write and read the language. After high school, along with her childhood friend Civa Shurr, Rose worked at Carborundum Company in the personnel department for 22 years. She then worked at the Niagara Falls Public Library in the children’s department for many years under her boss and close friend, Diane Palazyenski.
    Rose enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and close friends. She was well liked by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
    Rose is survived by her best friend and husband of 61 years, Louis Battino, who she married on March 17, 1956. She is also survived by her son Charles Battino and was the caring grandmother to Louis J. (Michelle) Battino and Angela R. Battino; devoted great-grandmother to Angelo Battino; and will be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law, Suzanne Akers, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her two sisters, Anna (late Martin) Nanian and Elizabeth Manasian; and her aunt, Olive Mooradian.
    Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls. Entombment in St Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Fund.

    Rose married BATTINO, Louis Anthony on 17 Mar 1956 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. Louis (son of BATTINO, Frank and SERRA, Raffaela) was born on 13 Jan 1928 in New York; died on 15 Mar 1985. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
