EWALD - Emma L. Ewald, 77, of 654 Falls Boulevard, North Tonawanda, died Saturday (Dec. 28, 1963) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She is survived by her husband, Hugo A. Ewald; two sons, Gilbert K. and Donald S. Ewald; three sisters, Mrs. Oliver Burgin, Mrs. Henry Janowsky and Mrs. Arthur Roloff, all of North Tonawanda; two brothers, Clarence Dueger of North Tonawanda and Stuart Dueger of Baytown, Texas; also two grandchildren. Friends may call at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Daniel Olson will officiate. Burial in Friedens Cemetery.

Emma married EWALD, Hugo Taugott Lebrecht in 1905 in Niagara County, NY. Hugo (son of EWALD, Christopher Martin and BELLING, Anna Ernestine Wilhelmine) was born on 13 Sep 1881 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY; died on 28 Jul 1970 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. EWALD - Gilbert Ewald, 76, of North Tonawanda, Thursday (September 19, 1985) at North Gate Manor Nursing Home. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, Mr. Ewald was a member of Rescue Fire Co, No. 5, a charter member of the North Tonawanda, Firemen's Benevolent Assoc. and retired clerk of the North Tonawanda City Market. Son of the late Hugo and Emma (nee Dueger) Ewald. Mr. Ewald is survived by one brother, Donald S. Ewald of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two nephews, Brian Ewald of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Gary Ewald of Palm Beach, Fla. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Wattengel Funeral Home, Inc., 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda where services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. Charles W. Hobbs, Sr. officiating. Interment Friedens Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to Friedens Church Cemetery Fund.

EWALD - Donald S. Ewald, 77, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, formerly of North Tonawanda, September 19, 1989 in Ft. Lauderdale. He was a former employee of Bell Aerosystems. He moved to Florida in 1972 and worked with his son, Brian, in the glass and window business in Pompano Beach up until his death. He is survived by two sons, Brian L. Ewald and Gary l. Ewald, both of Ft. Lauderdale. Burial was Monday morning (October 23, 1989) in Friedens Cemetery, North Tonawanda, N.Y.
