    Hubert "Skip" Metzinger, age 68, of Tonawanda, died Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Absolut of Orchard Park after a long illness. Born June 27, 1949 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Marie (nee Landry) and Hubert G. Metzinger, Sr.. Skip was a lifelong resident of Tonawanda and had been employed at White Chapel Memorial Park before becoming ill.
    He was the brother of Charles (Zelda) Metzinger of Michigan, John Metzinger of Tonawanda, Myron (Barbara) Metzinger of Pennsylvania, George Metzinger of South Carolina, Anna (Robert) Hartman of North Tonawanda, Cynthia (Andrew) Shingledecker of Tonawanda, Dianne Thore of Tonawanda, and the late Robert, Jerome and James Metzinger. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
    The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where a Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday; the Rev. Michael Uebler officiating. Friends invited. Inurnment will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Tonawanda.
