    Mrs. Esther Durkee, 74, formerly of Clifton Springs, died in Mesa, Ariz. Sunday after a short illness.
    Mrs. Durkee was born March 7, 1905 and had lived in Clifton Springs since 1942. She was retired from the Clifton Springs school system in 1970. She was past president of Ontario County Home Bureau and was active both in Clifton Springs Methodist Church and the Mesa Methodist Church.
    Surviving are her husband, George; two daughters, Mrs. William (Martha) Gillette of Hilton, and Mrs. John (Shirley) Ford of Dayton, Ohio; one son, Frederick Durkee of Clifton Springs; 12 grandchildren; and one aunt.
