    Ann M. DeFazio, 103, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Born in Walston, PA, she was the daughter of Louis and Jennie (Caterisano) Badolato. 
    Ann came to Niagara Falls as a child with her family. On September 29, 1936, she married Frank J. DeFazio. Mr. DeFazio predeceased her on March 21, 1995. Ann enjoyed cooking for her family. Her specialty dishes were baked macaroni, pignolata and Easter bread. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. 
    Ann is survived by her two children, Carol A. (Thomas) Volk and Ron F. (late Kathy) DeFazio; grandmother of Kevin (Lisa) Edwards, David Edwards, Dana (Robert Hornos) DeFazio, Devin (Marc) Antonelli, Derek (Jamie) DeFazio; great-grandmother of Erika Edwards, Vincent Edwards and Stella Antonelli. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was predeceased by her siblings, Frances (late Patsy) Arone, Rachael (late Harvey) Wakley, Eugene "Gino" (Carrie) Badolato and Anthony (late Santina) Badolato. 
    There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date. Ann will be entombed in her family's mausoleum at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 2805 Wehrle Dr., Suite 6, Williamsville, NY, 14221.

    Carol A. Volk (nee DeFazio), 81, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ann (Badolato) DeFazio.
    Carol was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  On August 24, 1996, she married Thomas Volk, NFPD, Ret. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island, where she became a faithful member after her marriage.  Carol owned and operated Hairitage Hair Salon in Grand Island, NY for over 20 years until her retirement in 2014.  Carol loved visiting with her friends.  She was very devoted to her family. She cherished her dogs, especially Shampoo.  Carol was an avid New York Yankees and Buffalo Sabres fan, and enjoyed attending games with her husband.  She also loved vacationing, especially their annual trips to Tybee Island, GA.
    In addition to her husband of 26 years, Carol is survived by her sons, Kevin (Lisa) Edwards and David Edwards; her step-son, Eric (Janet) Volk; her grandchildren, Erica Edwards, Vincent Edwards, Brittanee Ramallo, Jakob Ramallo, and Quinn Volk; her brother, Ron (late Kathy) DeFazio, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 7 PM.  Interment in Trinity United Methodist Cemetery, Grand Island, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.     Louis A. Badolato of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on  Saturday, September 5, 2020 at his home.   He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on May 20, 1952, the son of the late Anthony L. and Santina G. [DeMarco] Badolato.
    Mr. Badolato attended Mt. Carmel grade school and graduated from both Bishop Duffy and Niagara University.  He was a 5th grade teacher with the Niagara Falls Board of Education at 60th Street School for over 23 years.
    He enjoyed watching the  NBA, college basketball, especially Niagara University Basketball and loved going to Sabres games.
    As an avid runner, he competed in many 5K races throughout the area.
    Mr. Badolato is survived by his brother Frank S. Badolato and was the uncle of Michaela (Jamie) Annunziata and Anthony (Taylor Fitch) Badolato, also many aunts, uncles and cousins.
    His family will be present on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, Lewiston, NY.
    Friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Holy Family  of Jesus Mary & Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
