    Ramsay, Dianne Lebrenz

    -

Age 93. Lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, New York. Beloved wife to the late John Charles (Chuck) Ramsay for 68 years. Loving mother to Amy (late Anthony) Ramsay, Susan Ramsay (Daniel), Jack (Katheryn) Ramsay and the late Matthew(Rosemarie) Ramsay; cherished grandmother to five and great-grandmother of ten. She was loved dearly for her laughter, the twinkle in her eye and her steadfast encouragement. Dianne was raised by her parents, Dr. Gerhardt and Beulah (McIntyre) Lebrenz, in the first red brick house built in North Tonawanda. The house was constructed by her grandfather, Dougal McIntyre, a successful carriage maker on the Erie Canal. Boat signal horns and train whistles kept Dianne on time and their sounds always delighted her throughout her life. A 1948 graduate of North Tonawanda High School, Dianne enjoyed life long friendships. She earned a degree in Home Economics at Buffalo State Teachers College where she excelled in chemistry. She was honored to be elected president of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority whose responsibility was to plan banquets and parties for dignitaries. Dianne and her future husband Chuck, were voted Buffalo State's Sweetheart Couple of 1952, a distinction that charmed their many years together. Dianne was an active member of the Esther Circle at the First United Methodist Church where she and Chuck would often serve as greeters. She taught in the City of Tonawanda School System where her husband, an art teacher, would casually drop in on her kindergarten class, sit down and play "Cow Cow Boogie" on the piano. The kids would go wild. Dianne had her hands full. It was there that she met the K-Team ("K" for kindergarten), a talented and energetic group of women with whom Dianne socialized and traveled with up until her passing. Dianne wore a lot of red, spiced up Chuck's chowder when he wasn't looking and had a habit of buying marvelous cars for Chuck with his brother Bill. She traveled to Europe, Morrocco, Mexico, Vancouver and all over the USA. She crafted elegant dresses from European designers, raised all sorts of puppies and played bridge with a bowl of dark chocolate party mix at her side. Dianne always said that she had lived a wonderful life, but the best part of all, she exclaimed, was getting to share that wonderful life with her handsome husband, Charlie. Dianne was truly a beautiful person inside and out and is deeply missed. A private memorial service will be held by the family. Pictures of Dianne's life may be viewed on the Wattengel Funeral Home website. If desired, donations may be made in Dianne's name to: The First United Methodist Church, 65 Main Street, North Tonawanda, NY. Wattengel.Com

Sandra taught elementary school and went on to become an award-winning principal of Milpitas Elementary School where she implemented programs in association with Stanford University. In addition, Sandra was an advocate for Latinos and a fervent supporter and activist for the Women's Rights Movement. After retirement, Sandra moved to Carson City, NV to be close to her daughter, Roxanne; and grandchildren, whom she adored. Happily, she was able to build her dream home, which offered breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It was here, while gazing out her windows, that she was constantly amused and entertained with the mountain wildlife that she loved.Sandra will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her. She will be remembered for her strength of character and resolve to fight injustice. But it will be her warmth and charm, with a nod to whimsy, that people will recall.

    Notes:

    Kittleson, Kelsey Rebecca
AVERILL PARK - Kelsey Rebecca Kittleson was born in Buffalo, on July 13, 2001, and passed away after her two year battle with brain cancer on July 8, 2017, at her home in Averill Park. Kelsey passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Kelsey accomplished so much in her young life. She was an athlete who loved soccer, lacrosse and tennis. She was an extremely talented musician playing both cello and piano, but it was singing where Kelsey truly shined. What made Kelsey an extraordinary young woman was her ability to seek out opportunities to help others and finding her own way to make a difference. In her life Kelsey collected items for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society instead of having a 13th birthday party, created and chaired her own tutoring program at Algonquin Middle School to help fellow students, gave free piano lessons to a special young girl in her community, and most recently was a "13 Kids Who Care" award recipient which recognized her efforts to make bracelets both for fellow patients at the Melodies Center and to be sold to raise money for Melodies. Kelsey never wanted to be defined by cancer, nor receive much in the way of special treatment because of her disease. She was extremely courageous and handled the unimaginable journey with such grace. She was an incredible human being who was kind, thoughtful, funny, talented and loved. She was so loved. What she would want most is for her life to inspire people to do good things for others, no matter how small. It was what she was most passionate about. Her family will share her life and her story to help in the fight against this awful disease. Kelsey is survived by her incredibly proud parents, Rachael (Romano) and Kyle Kittleson; her sister, Avery Kittleson; her grandparents, Christine (Janczak) and the late Eric Kittleson, Sandra (Panzica) and Gerhardt Romano; her aunts and uncles, Rebecca (Romano) and Jeremy Besch, Kimberly (Kittleson) and James Diebel, and Eric Kittleson; cousins, Calvin and Fox Besch and Emma and Joseph Diebel; her great-grandmother, Frances Panzica; along with her loving great-aunts and uncles and other relatives. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Tebbutt & Frederick Memorial Home, 633 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12206. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Averill Park High School Auditorium, 146 Gettle Rd., Averill Park, NY 12018. As Thursday is Kelsey's 16th birthday, the family wishes to honor the same request she made for her 13th birthday, which is to bring a gift for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. There will be a collection bin available on Thursday for anyone choosing to bring donations such as blankets, cat/dog food, cat litter, paper towels, peanut butter, dryer sheets. Memorial contributions may be made in Kelsey's name to the Melodies Center, c/o Albany Medical Center Foundation, 43 New Scotland Ave., MC-119, Albany, NY 12208.
