    Obituary

Theodore Richard Nelson was born on August 30, 2019 at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.  “Teddy” was born with a rare congenital heart defect and courageously battled this disease for over 7 months.  On April 9, 2020, Theodore entered into eternal life and now rests in the arms of Jesus.
Theodore is the cherished son of Alexandria and Michael Nelson, and the adored brother to his big sister, MacKenna.  During his time in the hospital, Teddy most enjoyed listening to his sister sing lullabies, reading his favorite puppy book, and being held by his family.
Theodore will be forever remembered and loved by his parents; sister; grandparents, Christine and Richard Lukasik, Elizabeth Nelson, and Michael Nelson; great-grandparents, Patricia MacKinnon (late David MacKinnon), John and Shirley Lukasik, Katherine Nelson, Joanne Papp, and Joseph Papp; godfather and uncle, Paul Lukasik; and many loving aunts and uncles.
The family will have a private funeral service officiated by Rev. Patricia MacKinnon at the Fair Havens Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would respectfully request donations be given to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh in loving memory of Theodore Nelson.
