    CASTELLION - Nora A. Castellion, 71, a former resident of North Tonawanda, Tuesday (Feb. 13,1973) at Medina Hospital. Mrs Castellion was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Wife of the late Clarence G. Castellion, who died in 1959, she is survived by two sons. Dr. George A. Castellion of Stanford, Conn, and Dr. Alan W. Castellion of Oxford, NY; two daughters, Mrs. Stuart Savory of Grand Island and Mrs. David DeChano of Clarendon, Pa.; a brother, Franklin Eick of Middleport. N.Y., a sister, Mrs. Charles Leverentz of North Tonawanda, and nine grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Wattengel Funeral Home, Inc., 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda.     Doris M. Schuner, of Medina, passed away on January 23, 2016 at the Eastern Niagara Hospital. Mrs. Schuner was born at home in Middleport on July 6, 1923, a daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Eick) Wolter.

    A graduate of Middleport High School, Class of 1941, she married Karl H. Schuner in 1942. She resided on Townline Road, Town of Yates from 1946-2003, when she moved to Lakewood Village. She was employed by Gould's Greenhouse, Harrison Radiator and retired from Fisher-Price Toys.

    A longtime, active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she was a member of the Lutheran Women Missionary League, the Trinity Church Guild and quilting club. She made many quilts and lap robes for the missions. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Many baby clothes and blankets were enjoyed by her grandchildren. She was a member of the Senior Citizens of Western Orleans, traveled with the Fisher-Price travel club, enjoyed square dancing with the Orleans Orbits and volunteered with the Office of the Aging and Hospice of Orleans County.

    Survivors include three children, Brenda (Tom) Best of East Aurora, David (Mary Ruth) Schuner of Waxhaw, NC and Michael Schuner of Medina; ten grandchildren, Laurie, Sue, Peter, Danny, Christina, Andy, Adam, April, Alana, and Michael II; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.     Doris A. Kraatz, of Middleport passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Medina, NY. Mrs. Kraatz was born in the Town of Royalton on January 17, 1922, daughter of the late Frank and Hattie (Eick) Duchow and she has lived in Middleport all of her life. She was employed as a cafeteria worker at the Middleport Elementary School. She was a Charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School and was also on the Church Board at Holy Cross. She collected antique and porcelain dolls, enjoyed being a homemaker, baking and she enjoyed her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur G. Kraatz in 2000; a son, Clay Kraatz in 1983; and by two sisters, Violet Quintern and Eunice Velesko. She is survived by a daughter, Melane (John) Shuttleworth of Middleport; and a son, Larry (Janine) Kraatz of Holley; also surviving are six grandchildren, Amy (Thomas) Conley of Middleport, Heidi (Justin) Collins of Ohio, Stephen Shuttleworth of Nevada, Taramarie Kraatz, Katie Kraatz and Felicia Kraatz, all of Holley; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Donna. Friends may call Saturday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Rt. 31, Middleport, where funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with the Rev. David Triplett officiating.     Eugene A. Eick, age 87, of Middleport, entered into rest on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born February 4, 1929 in the Town of Royalton, NY, he is the son of the late Loren and Lydia (Wruck-Frisch) Eick.
    He worked at Harrison Radiator in skilled trades for many years. Gene served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Dolores Harch December 29, 1948 at St. Michaels in Wolcottsville. They have been married 67 years. Eugene has lived in the Middleport area all of his life. Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a lifelong member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Middleport. Gene was a member of the local RC Club and enjoyed building and flying remote controlled airplanes. Eugene won the Golden Hammer Award from Motor Trend Magazine for hand built custom made sport car. He also enjoyed working around the house.
    Surviving is his loving wife, Dolores J. (Harch) Eick; and daughter, Debra (Dr. Mark) Perry of Lewiston.
    Also surviving Eugene are his grandson, Bryan (Amy) Perry of Grand Island, Doctors Gregory (Melissa) Perry of Cohoes, NY, and Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Perry of Ransomville. Great-grandfather of Carter and Aria, and Oliver and Emma. Brother of Gary (Peggy) Eick of Gasport and the late David and Gerri (Harch) Eick. Several nieces and nephews also survive Eugene.
    Family and friends are invited to visitation on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Route 31 at Vernon, Middleport, NY 14105. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Medina, NY.
