Mr. Seefeldt, a well known area truck farmer, was born April 7, 1903, in the Town of Cambria. He had operated his farm in Lockport-Youngstown Road for 34 years and regularly sold produce at the Niagara Falls City Market throughout the summer. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, North Ridge, and also a member of the Farm Bureau and the Niagara County Extension Service. RANSOMVILLE - Casper E. Schultz, 82, of Youngstown-Lockport Road, died Monday (Feb. 11, 1991) In Buffalo General Hospital.
The Town of Lewiston native had lived in Ransomville since 1963. He was a a chauffeur for Major B.J. Mitchell in Youngstown from 1931 to 1939. He then owned and operated a dairy farm from 1939 to 1949 in East Aurora.
He went to work for the federal government in the Parks department at the Rocky Mountain National Park In Colorado from 1949 to 1955 and during the same time was employed for Buckstem Machine and Tool Co. in Buffalo. From 1955 to 1975, he worked for the State of New York Parks Department, first at Evangola State Park from 1955 to 1963, then as superintendent at Fort Niagara State Park from 1963 until retiring in 1975.
Schultz was a member of the Ransomville United Methodist Church.
He and his wife, Doris D. (Dennis) Schultz celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary July 21, 1990.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sisters, Mildred Nichols of Culpeper, Va., Ruth Myers of Youngstown, Dorothy Lane of Ransomville and Mary Stevens of Newfane; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was the son of John L. and Grace C. (Lederhouse) Schultz and brother of the late Stanley L. Schultz.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Hardison Funeral Homes, 3848 Ransomville Road; where the Rev. Jacob Denny will conduct services at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Porter.

LOCKPORT - Lenore F. Milleville (Barrs), age 94, of Sanborn, formerly of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 8, 2010, while at the Niagara Hospice House. Born in Ransomville, NY, on July 1, 1916, to the late Leroy and Mary (Seefeldt) Barrs. A graduate of Niagara Falls High School, she was employed as a waitress at various local restaurants and later as a teacher's aide at Niagara Wheatfield High School. Lenore was a member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, Bergholz, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years, and active with the Ladies Aid. Lenore was a member of the Sanbornites and the Wheatfield Senior Citizens. Hobbies and interests included sewing, reading, knitting afghans and will always be remembered for her sense of humor.

Lenore was predeceased by her husband, Edward E. Milleville on December 8, 1987; and two sisters, Veda Goltare and Janice Harvey.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra (Glenn) Walck of Sanborn; three grandchildren, Timothy (Brenda) Walck of Wheatfield, Tammy (Bill) Anderson of Pendleton and Darci (Rob) Hoover of Sanborn; seven great-grandchildren, Dillon, Reanna, Cory, Billy, Shelby, Robbie and Katelyn; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving care given by the entire staff of Niagara Hospice House and Judy Johnson, R.N, Niagara Hospice home care nurse.

YOUNGSTOWN — Russell Bars Stephenson, age 94, of Youngstown, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a brief illness. Russell was born on June 16, 1917 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Lawrence and Doris (Bars) Stephenson.

He was the last remaining alumni of the 1935 graduating class of Youngstown High School. Recently, he was recognized as the resident who has resided in Youngstown for the longest period of time. He was honored, along with several other long-time residents, with a ride in a special carriage in the Labor Day Parade. He was very proud of this honor and a few years ago he was asked to make a video of his memories in Youngstown, and how he viewed the Village through his many years there.

“Steve”, to all those who knew and loved him, previously owned and operated Old Orchard Beach Campgrounds, a seafood business and a cleaning business. He also had worked for a dairy, and for 40 years was employed by E.I. DuPont Co., in Niagara Falls, until his retirement in 1979 as a Dept. Supervisor. He was a man of many talents and an extremely hard worker. It kept him young, he often said. He was a member of the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. and an Exempt Member. Many will remember him for the wonderful fruits, vegetables and flowers he and his late wife, Helen, grew and sold at their produce stand in front of their home on Lockport St. He was very proud of his gardens and tended to them even at the age of 94.

He was predeceased by his lovely wife of 64 years, Helen (Jeffords) Stephenson in 2005. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Kaye (Ian) Kerr of Winnipeg, Canada; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Clark) Jester of Florida; his grandchildren, Tina (Thomas) Oddy of Youngstown, Kim Leabo of Texas, James Stephenson II of New Jersey and Stephen (Melanie) Stephenson of Florida; his great-grandchildren, Kailee and Candace Leabo of Texas, James, Karissa and Karalyn Oddy of Youngstown, Kaitlin, Olivia, Hannah, Victoria and Austin Stephenson of Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, James Stephenson; a sister, Effie Werner; and several nephews.

In 1951 she graduated from Youngstown High School. Patricia was a Nurses Aide and had worked at the former Ransomville General Hospital for 10 years. She then worked at the Newfane Nursing Home for 10 years before retiring in the mid 1980' s.
Patricia formerly attended the Fillmore Chapel United Methodist Church in Ransomville. She was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Patricia enjoyed making floral arrangements and her many travels with her very dedicated and loving 8-year companion, Ronald Quiett.
She was the widow of Martin Froman, Jr. who predeceased her April 10, 1992. Mary Lauzau, age 81, of Wilson died Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, at home under the care of Niagara Hospice. Mary was born on September 29th, 1940, in Youngstown, NY. She is the daughter of the late Stanley and the late Sally (Myers) Schultz. She married Ronald Lauzau in October 1963, he predeceased her on August 22, 2019. Mary was a homemaker all her life, she loved to spend all her time with her loving family and known as the “cool mom”.Surviving are her children, Robin (David) Becker, Christine Kroening (Bradley Snyder);her Siblings, Jack (Mickey) Schultz, Deanna Leggett, Susan (Tim) Harris and Cindy (Scott) Hillman; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Mary, Jessica, and Jarod; four great grandchildren, Isabella Mae, Jackson, Eli, Waylon, and baby Barnes on the way. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and her “adopted daughter” Gail Lonsbery.Besides her husband Ronald she is predeceased by two sons, Bradley Lauzau and John R. “Bean” Lauzau.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM. on Saturday, September 3rd at North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria, NY.

Gary R. Lane, age 79, of Ransomville died Monday, January 9th, 2023, at Newfane Rehab and HCF in Newfane, NY. Gary was born on March 2nd, 1943, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Raymond J. and the late Dorothy (Schultz) Lane. He was a graduate of Wilson high school class of 1961 and the University of Alaska in Fairbanks, AK with a Bachelor of Business Management degree.


He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 and was station at Ft. Richardson in Alaska. He worked for 8 years with Mobil Oil while in Alaska after his college graduation. He was an entrepreneur most of his life being a self-employed owner and operator of several businesses in Arizona, and Wisconsin. He also sold real estate. He returned to Ransomville, NY in 2007 after 43 years away. He was a member of the Ransomville Retirees and the Lewiston Seniors and the Ransomville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, reading, gardening, and going to yard sales.


Surviving is his children Natalie (Dr. Bernard) Eden PHD., Christopher Lane and Nathaniel Lane; his siblings, Elizabeth Maacks and Marilyn Lane; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and his good friends Allan Privette.




Calling hours will be Monday, January 16th from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM following visitation hours in the funeral homes with Rev. Dale Austin. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery Cambria, NY.
