    of Burt, NY husband of Carol Stolzenberg entered into rest Thursday, November 5, 2020 in Buffalo General Hospital. He was born in Lackawanna, NY August 16, 1942 the son of the late Edgar and Marjorie Allen Scott. Father of Jeffrey J. of Newfane and William R (Sarah) of Hamburg, NY. Grandfather of Olivia A. Scott. Brother of Joyce (Marshall) Bourne of Hamburg and the late Allen Scott and Suzette Porter.  James is a 1962 graduate of Newfane Central School. He served in the US Army from 1965 - 1968. James married Carol Stolzenberg Scott on June 3, 1972. He was a stockcar fan with season tickets to Ransomville Speedway for many years. James was a past Boy Scout Leader in Newfane and committee member for many years. He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge in Lockport, Newfane United Methodist Church  and the American Legion. Jim worked many accounting positions in Medina Hospital, Newfane, Lockport and retired from United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY. Carol and Jim wintered in Florida after Carols retirement in 2014. Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY TUESDAY 2-4 & 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held WEDNESDAY 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery, Newfane, NY. Memorials to Newfane United Methodist Church would be appreciated by the family.
