Daughter of Margaret and the late Norman Bauman. Sister of Norman (Sue) Bauman III, Dennis Bauman, Aimee McKnight, Paul Bauman and Matthew (Ania) Bauman. Also survived by loving companion Michael Flavin and many nieces and nephews. A graduate of SUNY Geneso, Laurie became a very successful Sales Director in the health insurance industry, spending many years working for Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY and most recently, Independent Health. Laurie had a zest for life and unmatched energy. Her adventurous spirit ignited a love of travel, concerts, and nature. Above all else, she cherished her role as mother and nana. Her spirit will live on with each passing sunrise and sunset. Friends may call Thursday 1-4 and 6-9 PM at Kaiser Funeral Home, 1950 Whitehaven Rd., Grand Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 9:30 AM at St. Stephen's Church
