    Notes:

Heaven has gained another soul, William J. "Billy" Socha peacefully left this earth while in the arms of his devoted wife. Much loved husband, soulmate and best friend of Nancy Dietz Socha. He and the love of his life were married for 43 wonderful years. They were wed on Easter Sunday, March 26, 1978.
He was born in Lockport September 14, 1950. A graduate of Lockport High School, he was a journeyman machinist retiring from Valair Inc. He served in the Army from 1972-1974, stationed in Germany. Billy was a Cub Scout leader for Pack 51 for a brief time. He was a member of and served as a trustee for Raymond Community Church. He spent many hours on repairs of the church building and volunteering at the church's food bank. In addition to being a talented machinist, Billy was a skilled welder and could repair virtually anything.
Billy adored Nancy, always treating her so lovingly, doing all he could to make sure she was happy and had everything she desired. He was the beloved uncle of Tracy, Desiree, and the late Matthew "Mateo" Hope; dear brother-in-law of Diane and Pat Hope, Lori and Neil Green and Paul Dietz. He was loved like a son by his late mother-in-law and late father-in-law, Mary and Roy Dietz. Predeceased by his beloved aunt, Diane; and "the greatest man in the world," uncle, Stan Rybacki, with whom he had a lifelong special bond.
He was estranged for many years from his family - parents, the late William L. Socha and the late Jean B. Socha; and siblings, Robert and Victoria Socha.
He has donated his body to the UB Anatomical Gift Program. A celebration of Billy's life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Raymond Community Church, 6597 Rapids Road, Lockport.
Donations in Billy's memory may be made to Raymond Community Church, Niagara Hospice, or the charity of one's choice.
