    Notes:

    Maria Miklitsch (Lipiano), 74, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2022, surrounded by her beloved family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Lipiano (Sicurella).
    Maria was raised in Niagara Falls, NY where she attended St. Joseph’s grammar school and Madonna high school, class of 1965. She received degrees from SUNY Geneseo and Buffalo State College. Maria married the love of her life, Frank Miklitsch.  For almost 50 years, they were side-by-side and enjoyed raising their daughter, Nicole Brockway (Miklitsch).
    Maria was a teacher in the Niagara Falls district for over 34 years.  Robert Frost wrote, “I am not a teacher, but an awakener.” The opportunity to positively influence her students was her passion and drive.  She also served as a teacher mentor and wrote many grants for the school district to hire and train new teachers.
    Maria was a deeply faithful person and actively involved in St. Peter’s Church in Lewiston, NY. She loved her garden, traveling, and watching English movies. Above all, Maria especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She doted on them and was happiest when she was cooking meals filled with love for everyone to enjoy.
    She is survived by her loving family including her husband Frank Miklitsch; her daughter Nicole (Dan) Brockway; her grandson Danny; her niece Tara (Michael) Henchbarger; her great-niece Avaliese, great-nephew Austin; as well as many cousins, extended family members, and wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary Lipiano and her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Gary Casten.
    The family wishes to send their appreciation and gratitude to Silverado Memory Care in Thousand Oaks, CA for their kindness and attention to providing dignity to Maria and their family.     Visitation will be on Friday, February 11 from 5 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Maria’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 12 at 11 AM in St. Peter’s RC Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY 14092. Please assemble at church.     Notes:

    Larry Selino, 62, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2023 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute after a courageous battle with Cancer. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Mary (Frank) Lipiano and James Selino; and the beloved husband of Robin (Clarke) Selino, who he married on April 15, 1989 at the Church of Christ in Niagara Falls.
    Larry was a graduate of LaSalle High School. He was employed for over 30 years at Fresenius Kabi in Grand Island, NY prior to his retirement.
    Larry was devoted to his faith and was a member of the Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, where he volunteered with the youth group and assisted with ministry. For the past ten years he studied religion and strengthened his connection with Christ.
    Larry enjoyed playing volleyball, bowling, and watching sports and was a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Vikings. He also loved listening to music, most notably The Beatles, and watching movies. He enjoyed travelling around the country, meeting new people, and eating delicious food. Larry had a big heart and had a great sense of humor. Above all, Larry centered his life around his family, especially his daughter, Annabel.
    In addition to his wife of 33 years, Larry is survived by his daughter, Annabel Selino; his siblings, Mary Lou (Marty) Muszynski and Anthony Selino; his special cousins, Jim (Lisa) Attfield and Dana (Ken) Zuber; his brother-in-law, David (Andrea) Clarke; his close friend, Gerald (Halin) Tavano, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Maria (Frank) Miklitsch and Sharon (late Gary) Casten.
    Visitation will be Sunday, March 26 from 2 – 6 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.Larry’s funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 AM in Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Memorial offerings may be made to the Urology Department of Roswell Park Cancer Institute or the Pendleton Center United Methodist Church. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
