HACKER - Waldemar M. Hacker, age 79, of North Tonawanda, Wednesday (June 9, 1976) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Hacker was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, and a retired employe of the North Tonawanda Postal Dept. working there 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Alice (nee Bluhm). Surviving also are a daughter, Miss Ruth B. Hacker, and a son, John W. (Victoria) Hacker, both of North Tonawanda ; three grandchildren; three sisters , Mrs. Anna Zeckser of Buffalo, and Mrs. William Meyer and Miss Immanuela Hacker, both of North Tonawanda. The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road from 7-9 this evening and Friday 2-4 and 7-9. Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Enno A. Schmoock will officiate. Interment in St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery. Ludwig Hacker, 15 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hacker of Tenth avenue, died at the family residence Saturday night. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the late home and will be private. Interment will take place in Elmlawn cemetery at the convenience of the family.

NORTH TONAWANDA. - Mrs. Anna Moeller, 83, of 1187 Oliver St. died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 1972) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Ruth Bernice Hacker, age 95, of North Tonawanda, passed away on March 21, 2022. Ruth was employed by Cramer Industrial Supplies in North Tonawanda for over 20 years. She volunteered at DeGraff Hospital in the gift shop for many years. Ruth was an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir and was involved in several church activities. Ruth loved to travel, spending many winters in Phoenix Arizona. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Waldemar and Alice Hacker, brother John William Hacker, niece Lisa Smith, and nephew John Stephen Hacker. She is survived by her niece Laura Sikora, grand niece Christen Sikora and grand nephew Matthew Smith. A memorial service will be scheduled at St Mark Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. Obituary of Janice Voelker

Janice Ruth Voelker, age 61 of Ransomville, died unexpectedly on Thursday August 17, 2017 at the Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport.
 
Janice was born July 18, 1956 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Glenwood J. and Margaret (Goldpenny) Moeller. A lifelong resident, she was a 1974 graduate of Wilson High School. Janice was employed as an office clerk by Franklin Global Strategies in Wheatfield. She was a very active member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge where she married Philip D. Voelker on July 26, 1986. Janice taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir. She was a member of the Pioneer Association of Volunteers and had a lifelong involvement with "Camp Pioneer" in Angola. Janice also was a member of the Women's Missionary League.
 
Philip predeceased her on October 4, 2012. She is survived by two brothers, Tim (Judi) Moeller of North Tonawanda and Daniel Moeller of Johnson City, TN; and a Goddaughter, Allisa Smith.
 
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Monday from 3 - 7 PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 22, at 11:00 AM in St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge, 4169 Church Rd., Town of Cambria, with the Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating.
