    Notes:

    Irene M. (Chandler) Mettler, of Lockport, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 8, 2022 in Buffalo General Hospital.  She was born in Niagara Falls to Kingsley and Betty (Vosburgh) Chandler.  She lived most of her life in Niagara Falls until moving to Lockport in 2014.
    Irene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  She loved family gatherings and was a second mother to all her grandchildren.  She had a green thumb, enjoyed ceramics and her day trips with her sisters.
    She is survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Mettler, married August 13, 1977; three sons, Robert J. (Sara) Mettler of Lockport; Michael E. (Jennifer) Mettler of Niagara Falls and Christopher E. (Kelly) Mettler of Lockport; siblings, Kingsley (Nancy) Chandler; Phyllis (Kenny) Kasper; Rexford (Ella) Chandler; Cindy (Jim) Godlewski; Lyle (Lori) Chandler and Candy Chandler; dearest grandchildren, Ryan; Kaitlin; Sean; Michael; Mason; Jace; Brayden and Easton Mettler; her sisters in law, Shirley (Joseph) Loss; Robin (John) Crossley; Judy (Joseph) Cipolla; a brother in law, James (Andrea) Mettler; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister, Penny Wirth.
    Visitation Thursday from 4-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls where Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM.  The interment will be private per the family’s wishes in Memorial Park Cemetery.  If desired memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
