Mary E. Sahr
Lifelong Tonawanda Resident
Mary (nee Fortman) Sahr, age 76, of Tonawanda, entered into rest Friday, June 27, 2003, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born June 30, 1926, in Hamilton, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Anna (nee Bonish) Fortman. A lifelong resident of Tonawanda, Mrs. Sahr was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Sahr, Sr., who died in 2001. She is survived by three children, Richard (Helen) Sahr, Jr., Nancy A. Sahr and Douglas E. Sahr; and two grandchildren, James (Rebecca) Sahr and Karen (Jeffrey) Dole. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Services were cared for privately at the convenience of the family, followed by interment at Elmlawn Cemetery. If desired, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120, are preferred by the family.
