Estelle M. Hexemer, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Marianina (Russo) Panfili.
Estelle graduated from Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls, where she studied nursing.  In 1952, she married Frank O. Hexemer in Niagara Falls, NY.  Mr. Hexemer predeceased her in 1982.  Estelle was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Fairchild Manor in Lewiston, NY as well as at St. Mary’s from 1969 until 1979.  Estelle enjoyed crocheting and taking care of her home, especially painting, gardening and yardwork.  She will be remembered for her great sense of humor.  Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially at the many family dinners that she hosted.
Estelle is survived by her sons, Jon (Laurie Hewitt Hexemer) Hexemer and Frank Hexemer; her granddaughter, Stephanie Otto; her great-granddaughters, Brianica, Alyssa and Julia, as well as by several beloved nieces.  In addition to her husband of 30 years, she was predeceased by her siblings, Pasquale Panfilli, Theresa Panfili, Ida Panfili, and Connie (late Rocco) Lancelloti.
Private funeral services and interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be held for Estelle’s family.  If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to John Hagee Ministries, https://www.jhm.org/donate.  Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
