Anna M. Wendt
Lived in Sanborn homestead for 63 years
SANBORN - Anna M. (Breitenbach) Wendt, 92, formerly of Saunders Settlement Road, died Friday (July 21, 1995) in Fairchild Manor Nursing Home in Lewiston. She was born Dec. 9, 1902, in Wheatfield, the daughter of Phillip and Augusta (Behm) Breitenbach. She lived at her Saunders Settlement Road homestead in Sanborn for 63 years before moving into the nursing home. Mrs. Wendt attended Our Savior Lutheran Church in the Town of Niagara. She was a member of the Sanborn Senior Citizens. She enjoyed sewing and ceramics. Mrs. Wendt was the widow of the late Benjamin Wendt, who died in 1972. She is survived by two sons, Robert J. Wendt and Ronald P. Wendt, both of Sanborn; a daughter, Annette Stahl of Sanborn; a brother, John Breitenbach of Niagara FaJls; a sister, Katherine Pokelwaldt of Niagara Falls; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Louis Breitenbach, Walter Breitenbach, Frederick Breitenbach, Henry Breitenbach, Margaret Bayer and Else Bayer. Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Wheatfield. The Rev. Gary Luderman will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Our Savior Lutheran Church, Military Road, Town of Niagara. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Our Savior Lutheran Church building fund.

A funeral service for Anna M. Wendt, 92, of Fairchild Manor Nursing Home, Lewiston, formerly of Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn, will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday in Our Savior Lutheran Church, Military Road, Town of Niagara.
Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
Mrs. Wendt died Friday (July 21, 1995) in the nursing home.
Born in Wheatfield, Mrs. Wendt lived in Sanborn for 63 years.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Sanborn Senior Citizens. She enjoyed sewing and ceramics.
She was the widow of Benjamin Wendt, who died in 1972. They had been married nearly 50 years.

Robert J. Wendt, of Sanborn, NY, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in Mesa, AZ. Born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, on September 6, 1923, Robert was 85 years old.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannette Rich Wendt; and his parents, Ben and Anna Wendt.He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Doris K. Wendt; his four daughters, Sandra Underwood of Shell Beach, CA, Nancy McIvor of North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY, Carol Haseley of Sanborn, NY and Susan Reiter of Marengo, IL; step-children, Linda Wilson of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, Gary Smith of Tampa, FL, Bonnie Melzer of Tucson, AZ; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his twin brother, Ronald P. (Buddy) Wendt and sister, Annette Stahl, both of Sanborn, NY.After working for a number of years on the family farm, he delivered oil for Beecher Brothers Oil Co. of Sanborn, and retired in 1985 from National Grinding Wheel of North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. He enjoyed 24 years of retirement wintering in Arizona and riding his John Deere in New York. His gift of woodworking brought as much pleasure to him as to those who received his works of art. He will be greatly missed.A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 5th at 11 AM at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, 6630 Luther St., Niagara Falls. RONALD P. WENDT, age 94 of Fairport, NY, formerly of the Town of Lewiston, NY, was called to his heavenly home on October 1, 2017 at Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care, Winter Park, FL. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 6, 1923, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Anna (Brietenbach) Wendt. Ronald was employed as a plant engineer at National Grinding Wheel, North Tonawanda, until his retirement. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls. Ronald was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Loretta M. (Bernat) Wendt, on May 1, 2015.
Survivors include a son, Peter (Cheryl) Wendt, and daughter, Amy Porrier; three grandchildren, Pamyla, Emily and Eric; and several great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held in Acacia Park Cemetery, with the family, with no prior visitation. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home.

Annette Stahl, 86, of Heathwood Assisted Living, Amherst, formerly of Ward Road in Sanborn, was called to her heavenly home on January 17, 2017 at the facility after a lengthy illness. Born on May 2, 1930 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Breienbach) Wendt. 
She was employed as First Deputy Chief Clerk for Niagara County Surrogate Court for 30 years, retiring in 1995. Annette married Reuben Stahl on October 7, 1950 and he was called home January 27, 1999. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451, and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, in the Town of Niagara, where she was active with the church clubs and choir. 
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Stahl of Bloom Field; a daughter, Lynne Diciocco of East Aurora; and a brother, Ronald Wendt of Rochester. Also predeceased by a brother, Robert Wendt. Visitation will be Sunday, January 22 from 2-7 PM at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. Sallach, on Monday at 11:00 AM in Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2759 Military Road, Town of Niagara. Interment will follow in Acacia Park Cemetery. 
Memorial contributions may be made to Buffalo Hospice, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227.

JAMIE L. REID

Of Grand Island, NY, passed away on Friday September 30, 2022, in Kenmore Mercy Hospital.  She was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on January 19, 1985, the daughter of Kevin L. and Carol L.  [Wendt] Haseley.
Jamie graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School, Niagara County Community, Buffalo State and received her Master's Degree from Medaille University.
She was the program director at Niagara County Community College Liberty Program for the past 8 years.
Jamie was actively involved with her children's activities, going to beauty pageants with her daughter and her sons sporting events.
Jamie was a dedicated mother and wife who cherished her time with family and friends, She was a fun loving person who would light up the room and will be remembered for her  outgoing personality.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 9 years, Joshua Reid, her children Carter, Wesley and Vanessa Reid, a brother Jason (Alison) Haseley and was the sister in law of Aaron (fiancee' Shannon Bradley) Reid and Karisa (Nick) Johnson, also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was the daughter-in-law of the late Bruce Reid and Julia McGill.
Her family will be present on Thursday from 3-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.
Jamie's Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY, with the Rev. Kurt Jensen officiating.
Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
