Jack L. Holler, age 84, of Pendleton, died Monday, November 23, 2009 at Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home, after a brief illness. Born in Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Bertha (nee Schroeder) Holler and was a Navy Seabee Veteran of WWII, having served in the Philippines. A lifelong resident of Tonawanda and Pendleton, he started Niagara Construction in 1968 and worked there until his retirement in 1986. Mr. Holler was a life member of the Salvation Army, a past president of the Rotary Club of the Tonawandas, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and the United Way Day of Caring. He was the brother of the late Gene Holler. He is survived by his wife, Lucille (nee Musilli) Holler; nine children, Gary (Laurie) Holler, Glenn (Gaylon) Holler, Guy (Debbie) Holler, Craig (Kris) Holler, Bruce Holler, John (Rhonda) Holler, Mark (Anne Marie) Holler, Gail (John) Kennedy, and Wayne (Sheila) Holler; five sisters, Sr. Mary Wilma Holler, OSF, Betty Ford, Doris Murray, Imelda McDonnell, and Virginia (Albert) Wullen; three brothers, Blake Holler, Richard (Marilyn) Holler and Kenneth (Judy) Holler; and his sister-in-law, Barbara Holler; also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday at St. Pius X R.C. Church on North French Road in Amherst. Friends invited. Flowers gratefully declined.
