PALM HARBOR. Fla. - Luella. (Winters) Parsons, 89, formerly of Niagara Falls, died Friday (July 25, 1997) in the Coral Oaks Retirement Home, Fla., after a brief illness. Mrs. Parsons was born March 31, 1908, in Niagara Falls, the daughter of Robert and Minnie (Neumann) Winters. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1925. She married Leonard R. Parsons in 1929. He died in 1982. Mrs. Parsons was an active member and secretary of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She also was employed as a secretary at North Junior High School for several years. She moved to Florida in 1994. She is survived by two sons, Jon R. Parsons of Tampa, Fla., and Jerry L. Parsons of Carmichael, Calif.; a sister, Viola Hewitt of Niagara Falls; and three grandchildren.

HEWITT - Robert Russell "Bob" Age 69, of Greensboro, NC, died suddenly on March 21, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital. Bob was born September 3, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY and was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Viola Hewitt. He is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Pat, his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Andrew Paul, and granddaughter Dana Paul, all of Greensboro. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Beth Bell, nieces Colleen, Amy and Melissa Bell, and grand-nephew Logan Roberts. Bob was a hospital pharmacist for over 40 years. Before moving to Greensboro in 2003, Bob served as the Director of Pharmacy at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda, NY for over 28 years. He worked at Randolph Memorial Hospital in Asheboro, NC until his retirement. An avid golfer, Bob enjoyed golf from the age of 10 until a year ago. He was never happier than when he was out on the links with family and friends. In 2003, Bob and his wife moved to North Carolina to be closer to their family. Bob established many new friendships in Greensboro and he will be missed by all. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Forbis and Dick Funeral Home, 5926 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro. Visitation will be held Friday, March 25 from 1-2:30 PM and the memorial will follow in the chapel at 2:30 PM. Rev. Marland Wiggins will be officiating.
