NIAGARA FALLS — Mary L. (Eddy) Dussler, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY, formerly of Clearwater, FL, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Murphy) Eddy.

Mary was raised and educated in Niagara Falls. For over 10 years, she worked as supervisor in the men’s department of the former Twin Fair in Niagara Falls. Mary was an active member of Divine Zion Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, as well as their altar guild, until moving to Clearwater, FL in 1980. While living in Florida, Mary was actively involved at St. Mathias Lutheran Church, where she had served as Church Council president. Mary also served as president of On Top of the World Condominiums Women’s Club.

Mrs. Dussler was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence K. Dussler, Sr. She is survived by four children, Larry (Nancy) Dussler, Jr. of Catonsville, MD, Pam (Bob) Barrs of Welland, Ontario, Bill (Bonnie) Dussler of Burien, WA and Peter (Phyllis) Dussler of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren, Kara, Caitlin, Mindy, Robyn and Alaina; one great-granddaughter, Sophia and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by six brothers and two sisters, Leo Eddy, Harold Eddy, Willie Eddy, Geraldine Llewelyn, Paul Eddy, John Eddy, Irene Jones and George Eddy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-5 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be follow at 5 PM, with Rev. Milan Slahor officiating. Interment will be held in Clearwater, FL at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.

Mary married DUSSLER, Lawrence K on 16 Oct 1949 in Zion Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. Lawrence (son of DUSSLER, Adam and HENSEL, Elma A) was born in 1919 in New York. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Peter John Dussler of Cheektowaga passed away on April 30, 2017 under the care of Hospice of Buffalo. Peter was born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 8, 1955, son of the late Lawrence 'Scoop' and Mary (Eddy) Dussler.
Peter graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in 1974. He was retired from Great Lakes Carbon (SGL), where he worked from 1974 to 2008. Peter married the love of his life, Phyllis (Forster) Dussler on August 29, 1992.
He is survived by five step-children, several grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence (Nancy) Dussler and William Dussler; sister, Pamela (Bob) Barrs; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Priscilla (Daniels) Forster; sister-in-law, Loretta (Donald) Herbst, Barbara (Peter) Bulka, Theresa (Lazo) Balseiro, Mary (Sue) Forster and Bonnie Dussler; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; and his partners in crime, Sir Maxwell and Lucky Charms.
Peter gave the gift of life to the University of Buffalo. A Memorial Service will be held on June 3, 2017 at a time and place to be announced.Published on  May 1, 2017
