Laverne R. ‘Bugs’ Brydges, 85, of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY entered into rest on Saturday, October 21, 2006, in Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, Erie County, NY. Born on September 4, 1921, in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur and Cora (Dixon) Brydges. On October 15, 1948 he married the former Marie Wells. She predeceased him on February 2, 1989.

Mr. Brydges was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, and attended local schools. Laverne served in the United States Army, during World War II, from November 2, 1942 until his honorable discharge on January 21, 1946. Mr. Brydges worked as a welder and was employed by Niagara Welding and Industrial Welding. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid football fan.

Mr. Brydges is survived by two step-sons; Ronald and Robert Seip, both of Florida, three step-granddaughters; Kim, JoAnna, and Tammy, and five step-great-grandchildren. Laverne is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters; Evelyn (late Cecil) Cowling, Olive (late William) Malaney, and five brothers; Arthur (late Winifred) Brydges, Clyde (late Marie) Brydges, Gerald (late Violet) Brydges, George Brydges, and Clarence (Lois) Brydges.

Donald Arthur Brydges, 84, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at his residence.  Born on January 23, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY, Donald was the son of the late Arthur and Grace (Finley) Brydges.  
Mr. Brydges was a lifelong area resident.  Donald attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School.  On September 10, 1955, he married the former Mildred L. Campbell.  Mr. Brydges proudly served in the United States Army, during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on December 31, 1960.  Donald was employed as a Journeyman Union Pipefitter for Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 129, located in Niagara Falls, NY.  He also served as an officer for the union.  Above all, Mr. Brydges was dedicated to his family.
In addition to his beloved wife of over 61 years, Mr. Brydges is survived by his children, Donald Arthur (Mary) Brydges, Jr., Susan (Russell) Keegan, David (Donna) Brydges, and Darin (Laurel) Brydges; nine grandchildren, Benjamin, Brandon, Erin, David, Zachary, Courtney, Jenna, Michael, and Simon; four great-grandchildren, Rylie Anne, Jackson, Adam, and Micah; one brother, Irvin (Lois) Brydges and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by one brother, Harry (late Doris) Brydges.

Born on October 4, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Evelyn (Brydges) Cowling.

Mrs. Briggs was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On June 25, 1960, Edith married George F. Briggs in Niagara Falls, NY. He predeceased her on April 10, 2004. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and spending time with her dog, Tiny.

Mrs. Briggs is survived by two children, George F. (Barbara Amantia) Briggs, Jr. and Cindy S. (Timothy) LaGamba, both of Niagara Falls, NY; two grandsons, Keith F. Briggs and Nicholas D. LaGamba, both of Niagara Falls, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. William “Bill” H. Malaney, III, age 85, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 atBuffalo General Medical Center Gates Vascular Institute.  Born on August 28, 1933, he was the son of the late William and Olive (Brydges) Malaney, II and step-mother, Grace (Bomberry) Malaney, II.
Bill was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. He attended local schools and entered the Air Force in 1951 and served in Greenland, as a Control Tower operator and was honorably discharged in 1955.  While in Greenland, Bill placed runner-up in the 1953 boxing light welterweight division in the Northeast Overseas Sports Conference.  
He married the former Joan Andrews in 1957 at Sacred Heart Church.  Bill was employed at Sisters of Charity Hospital as a maintenance supervisor, until his retirement in 1998.  Bill was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed golf and bowling.  His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.
In addition to his beloved wife of 61 years, Bill is survived by his son, William (Susan) Malaney, IV; Grandchildren, William (Stacey) Malaney, V and Deanna (Jason) Collins; Great-grandchildren, Madison, Avery and Carter Malaney and Owen Collins all of Virginia. He is also survived by brothers, Kevin (Nancy) Malaney of Niagara Falls and Joseph Malaney of North Tonawanda; step-sisters, Karren (late Ross) Salimbene of North Tonawanda and Sarah LaBarber of Niagara Falls and Sister-in-laws, Delores Malaney of Niagara Falls and Linda Bomberry of Lockport. Sharon attended local schools and graduated from the cosmetology program at the former Trott Vocational High School. She was employed locally as a cosmetologist for over 30 years. Sharon was also a dedicated volunteer for the American Cancer Society and Muscular Dystrophy Society. In her leisure time she enjoyed her trips to the casino, listening to music and tending to her garden and house plants. But most of all, Sharon loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her loving children Anita (Lisa) DePasquale-Deel, Jon DePasquale, Andrea DePasquale Krupa, beloved grandchildren Gunnar and Layla Krupa and cherished brother and sister Clyde Brydges, Jr. and Marie (Paul) Stahlman as well as her beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

NIAGARA FALLS - On Monday, May 5, 2014, the world lost a ray of sunshine. My honey, Mary Ann, passed on with me, her beloved husband, at her side.

Mary Ann was an avid gardener who truly had a green thumb. She created beautiful flower gardens throughout her lifetime. She was known for her delicious baked goods and her keen sense of wit and always made others smile. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Doris (Scarupa) Brydges.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband, Brian Mang; her children, Rhonda, David, Justin and Josh; her siblings, George (Linda) Brydges, Jerry (Robin) Brydges, Lauri (John) Hall and Harry (Marlene) Brydges, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerald R. Brydges, 57, of Niagara Falls, NY, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Born on March 30, 1959 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Harry and Doris (Lantz) Brydges.

Jerald, also known to family and friends as “Jerry” and “Mooch”, attended local schools and then served in the United States Army from 1976 until 1979. On February 10, 1979, Jerry married the love of his life, Robin M. Cirrito. In 1995, he earned his associates degree in accounting from Niagara County Community College. Jerry was employed as a laborer and truck driver for various local companies. He was an avid sports fan, loved baking his famous pie crusts and homemade macaroni and cheese, coaching baseball, landscaping, and helping and socializing with his neighbors. Above all, Jerry loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandson.

In addition to his loving wife of over thirty-seven years, Jerry is survived by two children, Jacob (fiancé Sara LaWall) Brydges and Rebekah (David) Kallin; one grandson, Tyler Brydges; eight siblings, George (Linda) Brydges, Harry (Marlene) Brydges, Lori Jo (John) Hall, Pamela (John) Bowers, Scott (Melissa) Lassman, Tracy (Wayne Grenning) DeWitt, Jason (Rebecca) Lassman and Laura (Douglas) Seefeldt; several loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins, and Paul (Marion) Lassman. He was also predeceased by one sister, MaryAnn (Brian of Niagara Falls, NY) Mang.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 22nd from 3-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where a funeral service will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Chorey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the family to be used according to their wishes. Rebecca Anne (Cowling) ZieglerAge 66, of Wheatfield, NY passed away unexpectedly and much too soon on November 4, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time she passed.Rebecca was born on December 20, 1955 to Thomas and Marlene Cowling in Niagara Falls, NY. After graduating from Niagara Wheatfield Senior High School, she went on to receive an A.A.S. degree from Niagara County Community College and worked as a certified dental assistant for several years. She then worked for the Niagara Wheatfield Central School District, from where she retired in 2015.In 1974, Rebecca married Glen Ziegler, her best friend and the love of her life. Together they had 2 daughters, Tristan and Colby. They made their home in Wheatfield, NY, in an 1800’s era farmhouse of which Rebecca was truly proud. During their life together, they also shared their home with several beloved pets.Rebecca was an active member, and past Elder and Deacon, at North Presbyterian Church. She was also an accomplished lace maker and enjoyed sharing her passion for tatting, and teaching tatting, at local festivals and events with the Heritage Village Lace Guild. Rebecca was an avid fisherwoman and loved spending time with her husband and grandchildren on the family’s pontoon boat, the “Pippi-Roo”. She was also in training to become a commercial drone pilot. Rebecca was predeceased by her father, Thomas Cowling, in 1998. She will be greatly missed by her surviving family, including her husband Glen, her daughters Tristan Ziegler and Colby Damon, her son-in-law Sean Damon, and her twin grandchildren Piper and Reilly Damon. She is also survived by her mother, Marlene Cowling, her sisters Kim Cowling and Evelyn Lauer, her brother-in-law Martin Lauer, along with several more family members and countless friends near and far.In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Rebecca’s name to Buffalo C.A.R.E.S. animal rescue or another animal rescue organization of your choice. Friends may visit from 3-5pm on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Niagara Falls. A brief remembrance service, provided by Rev. Stuart Buisch, will begin at 5pm after the visiting hours have concluded.
