    Ruth A. Mathew, 94, of Wolcott, passed away at 6:55 AM, February 3, 2016 at Cumberland Pointe of West Lafayette.


    She was born September 21, 1921 to the late George and Lena "Stark" Oshier in Ripley County, IN. Ruth graduated from Earl Park, IN in 1940. Her marriage was to Maurice "Jack" Mathew on February 17, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1992. Ruth was a resident of Wolcott for the most of her life.


    She is survived by two sons, Jeff (wife: Meg) Mathew of West Lafayette; Joe Mathew of Wolcott. Also surviving are two grandsons, Christian and Jack Mathew.


    Preceding her in death along with her husband are 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.
