    FRANK LEROY FLAY, JR. age 81 of Sanborn, NY, was called to his heavenly home on February 8, 2021 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 7, 1939; son of the late Frank and Bernice (Little) Flay, Sr. A graduate of Niagara Falls High School, class of 1957. He was employed at Niagara Mohawk (National Grid) for 44 years, and retired as a Line Supervisor, on December 31, 2001. Frank was a long time member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where he served as an usher, elder, and choir member. He also earned the rank of Eagle Scout, during his youth.Frank was a former member of Calvary Lutheran Church, and Trinity Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls. He was an avid hunter, loved fishing, boating, and traveling throughout the world, with his wife.Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Gaynel (Grant) Flay. They were married June 3, 1961; two dear children, Steven (Dianne) Flay of Pendleton, and Wendy (Robert) Britton of Sanborn; a brother, Charles (late Gail) Flay of NC; sister, Shirley (Duane) Henneman of IL; loving grandchildren, Heather Flay, Steven (Marli) Flay, Bob (Katie) Britton, Garrett (Lindsay) Britton, and Mackenzie Britton; great-grandchildren, Jonah Britton, Cohen Flay, Maleah Britton, Wyatt Britton, and Lincoln Flay.Due to COVID concerns, a private service with the family, will be conducted by the Rev. Denton White, in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, 6630 Luther Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield. NY.

    Cheryl enjoyed playing bingo, enjoyed shopping, cook-outs, bonfires and being with her family.
    She is survived by her husband Vincent R. Crampton, two children: Peter M. Shevock and Sara M. (Jacob) Walkow. She is also survived by 6 siblings: Donald (Colleen) Strassburg, Gayle Dawkins, Rick (Kris) Strassburg, Lori (Robert) Mazzei, Ken Strassburg, Gary (Shelly) Strassburg and her sister-in-law Cathy (late Gerald) Strassburg.
    In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Peter J. Shevock and her brother Gerald (Cathy) Strassburg.
    Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue tomorrow (Friday) From 1-3 and 5-7 P.M. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

    Gerald Strassburg of Niagara Falls, died on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, following brief illness. He was 62. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 29, 1953, a son of the late Glenn and Geraldine (Chesebro) Strassburg. He attended local schools and was a graduate of the former LaSalle Senior High School.

    Gerald was employed by the Carborundum Company and the City of Niagara Falls with the public works department for 22 years. A family man, he also loved to go hunting with his friends, fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan.

    He is survived by his wife, Cathy (Gerbasi) Strassburg; his daughter, Briana Strassburg; siblings, Donald (Colleen) Strassburg; Gary (Shelly) Strassburg, both of Niagara Falls, Kenneth Strassburg of Pendleton, Richard (Kris) Strassburg, Gayle (Clint) Dawkins of Fort Meyers, FL, Cheryl (late Peter) Shevock, Lori (Robert) Mazzei of Oneida, NY; his mother and father-in-law, Bob and Val Gerbasi of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Geri (Jake) Palillo of North Carolina; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, David Strassburg; and brother-in-law, Larry Gerbasi.

    Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 PM in THE LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM in St. John de LaSalle RC Church. Please assemble at church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorials, if desired, may be made to JDRF, WNY Chapter, 331 Alberta Drive, Amherst, NY 14226.
